For us Hybrid owners, it'd be great if you report back what they discover or not. Certainly understand not trusting it when it has run amuck on multiple occasions.
I don't use the app, so unknown whether in "deep sleep". However, I haven't had open-door interior lights for 6 weeks or more--noticed it lately after Daylight savings switch, for evening commute. Planning a dealer visit during Christmas break.
I have wondered whether the vehicle to vehicle variation in experience is due either the 12v battery sensor part tolerance or even PCM internal A/D conversion of the battery voltage is the cause. Not sure of the lighter outlet or other 12v points are directly across the 12v battery, or rather...
Anyone else noted consistent charging voltages above 15v? If the voltage is that high across the 12v battery terminals, regularly, they won't last very long, as they off-gas hydrogen (indirectly water) significantly above 14.0 volts to 15.1 v(100F ~ 32F actual battery core temp) and are...
My '23 goes in Fri for all the pending recalls, and I added the dash rattle complaint. I was going to wait until there was an actual fix for the sleep/deep sleep issue, but my backup camera has become a little more glitchy the last month or so.
Will see what gets fixed.
Also, spot checking other forums using Ford 4 cyl Atkinson hybrids (Fusion, Escape, etc), and where EB confusion wouldn't have been issue for those models and model years, apparently those owners manuals also mention potential improvements in performance, and possibly fuel economy using 89 or 91...
Wait, you're looking for an "octane" sensor? Seriously?
So, does the EB version of the manual mention or detail the timing strategy for octane?
And, an omission neither confirms or invalidates, here.
As for other comments re: "wasting and tank of gas" to do the test, in NTX, it would cost...
Well, *every* engine in every car I've owned (mix of normal and induction) in the last 30 years that had a knock sensor or sensors DID adjust (+ and -) the ignition timing map based on an integrated (older vehicles) or moment by moment (newer vehicles) knock sensor feedback. Fuel type (E0, E10...
Yep, it seems to dissolve into the bunny trail (turbo guy) or the difficult to objectively measure; MPG changes, or the purely anecdotal and opinions; whether the hybrid *should* respond to different octane, or ...what I originally posted.....
