I've bought a lot of 5 gallon jugs of Lucas "Hot Rod and Classic" oil from Summit racing and never had one problem with it arriving safely. (use this stuff in my '69 Dodge). It's all in the packaging.
OP does not have to "get a lawyer". Every insurance company has their own lawyers, and it looks like there are going to be 3 of them hashing this out plus the police department. OP's insurance company's lawyer is also his lawyer. Anything the dealer gives the OP will be above and beyond anything...
Anywhere they touch the paint there will eventually be damage. I seriously doubt if there is any way to keep them 100% off the paint. Maybe apply clear chip/rock guard in the area of the flares. Of course that'll be another project that might not be easy to do cleanly.
One thing good about that flat black vinyl is that it does not show fingerprints. That area is where 99.5% of all drivers are going to touch the door to close it. I think it would be good to have the flat black on the rear doors too.
I dunno, but they are certainly not Ford Maveric specific parts. Take one to any decent auto parts store . They will have one close enough, or maybe even one exactly the same. Usually hanging on a rack with other "Help" parts.
Nope. Almost nothing made in the last 20 years or so will be "collectible". Oh yeah some far-out cars like Bugatti Veyrons or Ford GTs will still be. But in several years all the electronics on today's cars will be obsolete or unavailable, all the platic will be broken/rotted and new parts will...
I'm not John, but I bought the C1R kit with the assumption it would work on my Lariat. Well it was not plug-and-play, and I was also advised by DD that there was no way to make it work on my truck, not even if wanted to start cutting/splicing wires. So I'd say it's doubtful they can make a C1R...
It's a programming change to one of the body control modules. Should be very fast. But queue time is what always screws that up. An "appointment" at a car dealer service department is never an actual "appointment"!
I wonder why this can't be self-updated over the internet/cloud/wi-fi or some...
On my '24 Lariat none of the processes mentioned in this thread worked! I tried every combination of brake on/off, and wait time vs just watching the lights. Never saw flashing light at the end. Stupid warning message is still there.
Has it been run thru a car wash a lot? Looks like some very harsh chemicals were used to clean it. I think you may have luck with any number of protectants to bring back the original look. But it's hard to say. I like Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating.
Probably not defective...
