I won't call it cheap feeling - but I will say that the single piece of plastic for all buttons that just has very little/no flex annoying. There is no separation between buttons, so when pressing a "button" the whole button panel flexes. I feel like its something that will eventually break...

I hear ya on the alignment thing. I think I cheated a bit as I didn’t align the cover off of the front of the bed (bulkhead). After getting it unfolded, I let the tailgate push the seal and hard plastic clips to align the cover. That seemed to work good for me….

I've got just over 3k miles on my 25 hybrid, so not quite "broken in" yet according to things I'm seeing. However, how you drive has a huge impact. I use Fuelly to track fillups and have a best of 37.4 which was almost all in city driving. Worst so far was 31.6 which was 100% highway mileage...

MI isn't "talking about it" - they already DO it. I've been paying it on my CMax for years already. Now add my Mav to the mix. Thankfully its not horribly high fee, but its there on my registration cost every year. And I quote from MI SOS website...
