My husband kind of pooh poohed having a hybrid at first, but now it's a game to him to get the best mpg he can while still having fun. So for him, it's the smooth breaking that he likes to do. Me....I follow all of the tips shown above to try to get the best mpg. This is my third hybrid.

Mine came automatically to the dealer after I took delivery. They thought the dividers were mudflaps and tried to schedule an installation appointment lol.

Here is my Maverick next to an old style Ford Ranger XLT at the Home Depot. I think this is a better comparison than putting the Mav next to an F-150 or a Super Duty.

I was just starting a similar experiment, and was suspecting the same thing. I don't think it is worth it to put the Mav in eco mode

I wanted the get a pickup at some point in the future, but a fuel efficient daily driver now. When I saw the Maverick I knew that's what I wanted. So, I became one of those first time pickup buyers. Was definitely considering a Civic.

I also was in the same situation, although I ordered last July. I was worried because I wasn't getting emails or updates. My dealer assured me everything was fine, and it was! I got my truck on March 23rd...over 8 months after I ordered it.
