  1. Hitting 10,000 miles this week. Loves and hates.

Barely a new car smell remaining. But I drive with windows down often. I also sometimes eat in my car. That likely removes some of that smell quicker.
  2. Hitting 10,000 miles this week. Loves and hates.

Yeah. Pros and cons for sure. But truly, this is what most people need. If I could pick 1 thing to get fixed out of all of my dislikes. It would be the door cubbies. I use the door cubbies a lot. And as I said, they are almost useless storage. That goes for the front and back. And if thats my...
  3. Hitting 10,000 miles this week. Loves and hates.

I really appreciate your feedback. This must be the issue. Its telling me its low when it only needs 1-2 qt.
  4. Hitting 10,000 miles this week. Loves and hates.

The 1st oil change is free. No points needed. Then I believe I have enough points to cover the next 2. After that, I am back to doing it myself. Usually I dont change oil if its only a $20 save. But with it being $50, I will be haha. No deep sleep issues. Or battery in general. I think when...
  5. Hitting 10,000 miles this week. Loves and hates.

So this week I will be rolling on 10,000 miles on my 2023 hybrid XL. I ordered it with only ford 360 and trailer hitch. Outside of that, bone base model. Here is what I like and dont. This will be wordy. But detailed. This will be a full opinion. Hates - Maverick will only default to normal...
  6. The dealership crashed my Maverick order.

Fortunately, the waits are not what they use to be. I would put in order in at a different dealer. They should give you $1,500 and place you an order for another.
  7. Do you think XL trims will have a higher resale value over time?

In general, the base models usually depreciate at the lowest % rate. The highest trim will depreciate with the highest %. This is not always true, but its usually the case with most model vehicles.
  8. Pickup Truck Trunk

I think this is a neat build. But at the same time Neat little build. Ultimately, build what you need. Everyone has different needs. But to me, put a $200 bed cover on and use the whole bed as a trunk rather than just a small portion. But as I said, everyone has different needs. Interesting...
  9. Hybrid takes longer (than EcoBoost) from order to delivery??

The Hybrid is in higher demand than Ford sourced production for. I waited pretty much 1 year flat for my hybrid.
  10. Painted spare steel wheel for a test

I considered the bronze color. Had bronze wheels on my green miata. But with painting, bronze is a more difficult color to find the perfect shade. Only reason im not going to that. The black is a safe choice.
  11. Jeepers ….$150 oil change???

Do it yourself for just under $80 while maintaining all oem. Fortunately I have free oil changes all the way to 40k. After that, I will be doing it myself. Wont be paying the $123 at my dealer for the oil change.
  12. Painted spare steel wheel for a test

Looked into that prior to painting. It would be 1 pound at absolute worst case. But realistically, should not be gaining more than 3/4 lb per wheel. And I do not plan on painting the back side of the wheel. But I will likely get these wheels rebalanced after lol.
  13. Painted spare steel wheel for a test

I like the steel XL trim wheels. But hate the color. Also realistically, new wheels are a bit pricey considering I already have new wheels. Also it gets complicated when your looking to not gain any weight in the wheel. I want to maintain the mpg. The stock steel wheels are surprisingly light...
  14. Do you regret getting either the Hybrid or EcoBoost?

I do not regret the hybrid. The largest need I have is for good mpg. Really thats for anyone daily commuting 98% of the time. As americans, we are prepers. We all want extra utlity option “incase” we need it. But in reality, we dont. If your only towing 2ish times a year, it is cheaper to rent...
  15. Hyperflashing with lasfits led lights after the Ford turn signal recall fix???

I need to update. After a week, lasfit responded to my emails. They will replace my rear bulbs. They were very straight to the point. Very good customer service. But they wont send me a replacement till April. They are out of the new bulb that fixes the issue. Im good with this. I think this...
  16. Anyone put 235x70x17 tires on stock suspension?

You may not need to go with a 70. Your sidewall measurement is a percentage of your width. Naturally going up to a 235/65 from a 225/65 will slightly increase the height of your sidewall also. You will essentially gain just shy of a 1/4 inch in height by increasing width to a 235. By increasing...
  17. Hyperflashing with lasfits led lights after the Ford turn signal recall fix???

Now we have a self claiming electrical engineer. You can claim to be anything on the net. Has no merit. Some of the stuff your saying I slightly agree with. Software can have a play to a point. But at the end of the day the software is identifying the issue due to throughput to the bulb. Thats...
  18. Sport Mode

I dont care for the pretend shifting. To feel no shift is considered a luxury in a transmission. But we imitate shifting in cvt?
  19. Hyperflashing with lasfits led lights after the Ford turn signal recall fix???

I am whinning? My $120 purchase is now not working 4 months later. They also majorly advertise no hyper. But they are doing that. Interesting. So how does one react to this? With an applause and a recommendation to buy their products? Maybe you do haha. This is the problem. The bulb should be...
  20. Hyperflashing with lasfits led lights after the Ford turn signal recall fix???

Im having the same issue. Contacted lasfit twice and still nothing after a few days. In my opinion, if the bulb was properly designed to begin with, a software update would not make the hyp My lasfits were working fine. Bought all the lights for fronts and rears. Then the update comes and now...
