I put down some felt lining and place my business cards in there. Works like a charm. The felt works better than the rubber bottom to keep the cards in there during acceleration, bumps, etc.
I use my truck to take people to doctor's/dentist appointments, or getting groceries. The single biggest problem I've got is with the center screen having a mind of it's own. That is; when I've got the maps screen showing, it'll randomly show previous map searches I've done, just below the...
Probably some of the same opinions posted here, but I'll give it a go anyway...
Pros:
* Eruption Green/new colors
* New 19" wheels
* Larger center screen
* Black roof with the BAP
* New grills
* Possibly surround camera system
* Possibly hybrid w/AWD
* Possibly a sport model added
Cons:
*...
I've got a clear epoxy kit that I'm planning to use for just this purpose. Going to set up the USB C plug to be in position, so I can just pop the phone in or out of the upright part of the tray. I'd also tried using a wireless charger on the flat part of the tray, and it worked fine, but I like...
Agreed. Those panels look like they're holding the headlights up. Possibly they could've done something different with the cut lines around the panels? IDK... But yeah, the new grills look nice. Can't wait to see the new interior, even if it's only the revised I/P. The utility of the current...
Probably good you didn't get a hybrid model then. Snaps, crackles, and pops when sitting after shutdown. Strange noises aplenty while driving and stopping. I do love my hybrid Maverick (it's my first hybrid), but I'm still getting used to the different noises. Hope you enjoy your new truck. ๐๐
I need a solution like this for my folding ramp (I use it to load a mobility scooter in and out of the bed). Might be worth it to purchase this ladder (for the rotating mount), and just modify it to mount the ramp instead. Thanks for the tips, these are some nice mods. ๐๐
My '24 hybrid is 2 months old, with about 4800 miles on it. Still no squeaks or rattles, runs great, great mileage. I love it. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Thanks for the reply, and the pictures. I haven't attempted it yet, but I'm going with plan 'B' instead...
I'll take out those four screws, then pry the switch panel off (the one with the window switches). This should expose enough of the orange trim, according to another video I've seen. Then...
* Took delivery the middle of February, 2024.
* Miles on the odo: 2954 (and some tenths).
* Still no squeaks or rattles, rock solid.
My truck is fulfilling everything I'd hoped it would, so far. Have to say I'm glad it took 519 days for Ford to get my Maverick to me, sure seems like they've...
Yep, same here. I took delivery in February, and it was kind of weird what the dealer shop guys did, versus didn't do to prep my Maverick:
* Took my right of passage for the center screen (they took the clear plastic off of it).
* Left the tires as is (with writing squiggled on from the...
Yeah, it's a subjective thing though. The Maverick gives you two different displays to show what gear you're in, one of them right in front of you. For me, it's easy enough, but changing gears in the Hyundai would feel like turning on the windshield wipers. Once again, IMHO. ๐
These things go in...
I drove a 2020 Platinum for a couple of days (dealer loaner), back when it was new. I like the Explorer a lot, and loved driving that one. Smooth, quiet, and the 3.0L engine was powerful and good. Not bad mileage, if I stayed off the gas pedal a bit. Still like the styling of it as well. Way...
It's got that screwy gear selector. And yep... More screwy than the Maverick's IMHO. I think they're hoping for a paradigm shift with that gear selector, seeing as they're using it on many of the newer Hyundai models. It's a nice instrument panel, for a car or SUV. I like the new steering wheel...
I know you'd posted this a long time ago, but I'm in my first month of Maverick ownership, so I thought I'd ask specifically... I removed the four exposed hex screws, and found the orange trim wouldn't budge. So it must be the plastic welds that I need to get past/defeat before I can remove the...
