I have the MRT gas hood struts, and want to remove the factory hood prop rod. Looking at it I don't see an easy way without cutting it. I want to remove it intact. Has anyone done this and have any tips?

I purchased a set. I'm looking for a set of 4 aluminum wheels that are in nice condition. I just purchased a 2022 XL, and want to replace the steel wheels it came with. I'm in Niles Michigan 49120, would like to find something within a couple hours of driving time.
