With no constraints, you are going to bypass a lot of hybrids, luxury package, co-pilot 360 and other dealer installed option builds in scheduling.
Supposedly Ford went to a scheduling system based on order date a few weeks back so that kind of works against you though.
I would think you will...
Spray on is never a bad idea. If you get the mat and tonneau too you will be very well protected. Also forgot to mention, I think spray on is best for resale value later on. Now go do some trucky stuff.
I don't have my mav yet, but I have two other cars that I put on 4 jack stands for maintenance.
I have one of the hockey puck type jack pads with a slot in it. I got mine from Flyin Miata but I'm sure you can get them about anywhere, or make your own. The weight is spread over a 3 inch...
Tim, I know you must really like your job to provide all of the info and service to those of us that probably will never buy a Ford in Kansas.
You are an asset to FMC and if they aren't offering you a job in Customer Service/Marketing/PR/Communications at a salary you couldn't say no to then...
I checked the nhtsa website with my VIN and shows no recalls.
Not sure if that is accurate because my truck has not been built yet. I have a build week and a VIN. Hopefully Ford will incorporate this software update going forward on new builds.
I have a set of Seat Savers by CoverCraft in my truck now.
They were about $175 for just the front seats. I've had them in my truck for about 7 years now.
The stitching started to come loose on the outside edge driver side where I slide in and out about 6 months ago. They are a little faded...
Congrats on the new truck, looks sharp. Gonna be another new Ohio mav running around Columbus area hopefully sometime in July.
I bought my last new F150 from Castrucci and had a good experience as well.
Two questions in a situation like this. I am not a lawyer, nor do I want to hire one to buy a Maverick.
Does the concept of duress come into play here?
After custom ordering a truck that has a VIN assigned to your name and driver's license, getting a copy of a signed DORA with a price...
That happened to a friend of mine in high school.
The fire department was doing a Jaws of Life demo because they had just gotten one. (Late 80s) It was during a small town festival so there weren't many parking spots close to the festivities.
My friend had 60s Era Ford Fairlane that he slid...
Really it comes down to personal preferences and what you intend to do with the truck the most.
There are pros and cons to every type of bed protection, and even just leaving the bed bare.
My dad likes the rubber mats alone. He uses his truck as a truck a few times a year mostly for moving...
If you put a stick, or metal rod through the hole in the bed where the fuel tank is located, wouldn't you be able to probe the tank and feel if the tank was compromised?
I'm not trying to start an argument, but if mine had the spray in liner that's what I would do to check to see if I need a...
I'm glad that Ford stayed with the design cues from the larger F series trucks. It was one of the things that drew me to the Maverick in the first place...it looks like a truck.
I think that had Ford tried to make it look too much like a stylized SUV with a small bed that it wouldn't have...
