  1. Hybrid MPG Expectations

I can get in the 50s and 60s for some trips. But for my short trips some time the ice has to run when it's only needed for electric and not hills, etc. So my city average is probably 50. But the few times I get on the freeway even a few miles it's lucky to hit 40. To the point I'll follow the...
  2. Hybrid MPG Expectations

You must have much more flat ground than me. No matter how I work it, hills always draw down the mpg climbing much more than I get coasting down them. Mostly because the one had an intersection at the bottom of the hill. So always stopped at the bottom downhill or starting uphill.
  3. Sour Apple Green Color Maverick Spotted

Not green. But saw this today. Didn't even notice it was a maverick at first because of the rack. Definitely makes a nice work truck. Servpro would make sense.
  4. Hybrid MPG Expectations

Last two tanks. Mostly around town. A few longer trips to the airport and one trip of about 200mi mostly off freeway.
  5. Which Harbor Freight Trailer for the Hybrid

Remember the 1500 is total load in the truck, the 2000 is trailer plus all the weight in the truck and trailer. If you're just putzing around town at slow speeds, you're not too worried about the weight. Only if you're running on the freeway would you be concerned. As for me, I bought a used...
  6. How far can your Maverick hybrid go on one tank of gas

The tank is only 13.8g. At 47mpg that puts you at about 650mi.
  7. How many Mavericks have you seen?

Didn't even realize this was a maverick at first. Was just looking at the advertising and then glanced down at the truck and saw maverick. Third maverick in the Youngstown/Boardman area. Makes for a nice work truck.
  8. Hypermiling Challenge for 2.5L Hybrid

I just have my trip 2 meter set since I got it. I plan to reset it at the first oil change and will probably record it with the date and mileage.
  9. 600 Miles Per Tank Hybrid Maverick club

I'm not sure I could hit 700 without actively driving only set routes and nothing else. One thing with the maverick is I tend to take the shortest way where before I would sometimes take the longer route with freeway driving included. With the mpg on streets, I tend to stick to streets.
  10. Where to Mount a PA horn?

"it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks."
  11. Please, please consider securing your load responsibly.

Probably just hooked to the suvs bumper. How they thought a 200-300lb ratchet strap would hold it.
  12. Hypermiling Challenge for 2.5L Hybrid

First leg over a mile with hybrid time showing over 100mpg. Trips like these are fairly common for commutes. Have gotten good at staying in electric mode. Back to back trips: This was a big trip. Lots of back roads and some freeway. I know this is a lot, but here's the last two...
  13. Ohio Roll Call

Mine showed up the evening of the first day of my window per the email.
  14. 5 things I hate about my Mav

My old beater car I had, I had a two in one car / wall charger that I just took with me. Since the that part of the design was pretty solid I just would leave the cord plugged in. But with a built in USB plug, I'm not risking ruining the receptacle in the truck by making it loose from constantly...
  15. How many Mavericks have you seen?

Saw my 2nd! On 224 in Boardman crossing South Ave. Was cyber orange. Really stood out. Was passing by while they were a few cars deep on south at the light I may or may not have made. But very cool to finally see another one. Next notable thing will be when I see another Area 51. Since the...
  16. Received my Maverick with 7 miles on the odometer. 5+ hours on the hours meter

Mine had 8 miles on it when I picked it up. 11 after a test drive before signing all the paperwork. Wish I had taken a photo of it. Didn't think about it. My only other ever new vehicle had about 17 on it. Never single digits.
  17. 150 miles @ 75 mph, 29 mpg. No bueno.

East coasters really don't know how flat and wide open big portions of the country are. 70mph in Texas is nothing like 70mph in Connecticut.
  18. 5 things I hate about my Mav

I have a Lariat so not a many problems he had I'll have. What's funny is for me the USB A is so freaking tight I leave the cord in and have a dedicated car cord. Makes charging easier since it makes great contact. When I first got mine and put my charging cable in, I thought "I'm going to need...
  19. Ohio Roll Call

I switched plates from my old car and had no problems. Registration was standard. I thought about renewing for multiple years but didn't. Should've because I've got a feeling they'll figure it out next year. Though since it's a renewal maybe never.
