"...Don’t anticipate mileage to equal that of my trade vehicle, a 2014 Mazda 3..."
I have a 2023 Maverick XLT hybrid with approx. 3500 miles, and my last fill-up I averaged 48.1 mpg. Don't discount the mileage you can get with a Ford hybrid!
I bought my 2023 XLT Hybrid from Van Bortel Ford in East Rochester, NY. Paid invoice (about $700 below MSRP), + $182.50 in dealer fees and temp tag, nothing else. Paid sales tax in Florida when I returned here to register it. Had to order the truck, they have none in stock (all their allocation...
Not a Maverick, but maybe it's "stepfather?" Found this Ranger had parked next to me as I was at the the DMV, paying the sales tax and getting my Florida tag.
Thanks! Now that I think about it, if you owned one of the original JP Explorers, it wouldn't ever be parked outside in your driveway, now would it? ;)
I have a quote for the local Line-X shop to apply their bedliner material as an undercoating. Not for rust-proofing (in Florida?), but as soundproofing. I'm having second thoughts as to the material being used. Comments? Concerns? Suggestions?
65 3/4... ;)
2023 XLT Hybrid in Hot Pepper Red.
Only factory option: trailer hitch
Dealer-installed accessories:
spray-in bedliner
Ford hard tonneau
Ford hood deflector
Accessories added since taking delivery (surprised how easy it was to add all of these):
mud flaps
dash trim below screen...
I have the Ford accessory tri-fold hard tonneau. It's pretty good at keeping water out, but "waterproof?" No. I'll find a little bit of water at the front of the bedliner after a Florida summer deluge, which is a better job at keeping water out than I expected.
I'd love to add that to my truck, but when you live in Pinellas County, FL, and every road is a straight one going north-south or east-west, well... there are better places to spend my $100.00. Just sayin'... ;)
Through all of 2022 and the 1st 6 months of 2023, Ford has built approximately 134,000 Mavericks. While it certainly sucks to be one of the owners of a troublesome Maverick, I'm thinking the "bad" ones compromise a very small percentage.
Well, I THOUGHT it worked when I was on the road, but now (with my truck in the driveway) it's trying to change the temperature of my home thermostat. I'll have to get back t you on this.
All I can speak to is availability and price (I have an XLT hybrid). You're not going to find a demo on any Ford dealer's lot, but I was able to find three to rent on Turo (https://turo.com) here in the Tampa Bay area. Had the exact one I wanted for three days and loved it.
If you're not...
Most times when I get in the truck, start it up and then connect my phone for Android Auto, nothing happens. I have to disconnect the phone and re-connect it to get it to work (sometimes twice). Anyone else with this problem? Any solutions? I've searched dozens of other posts, but could find...
I think there was a time we bought extended warranties because we were afraid the vehicle might have problems, which meant I almost never bought one. Today, I bought the PremiumCare ESP because I KNOW there will be problems, and the ESP is a hedge against inflation. Case in point: the 2013...
OOPS! Someone forgot to tell me that I'm not supposed to post my opinions here. You see, I'm not a mind reader. But I've made a note to avoid anything that says "numike." Happy now?
