If you want to keep your Maverick for another 4 or 5 more years, get an ESP from Granger if you don't have one. I think it was the best option I added to my Maverick for peace of mind that I will transfer to the next owner, so they also be covered for a couple of years.
You sound like a great guy, not letting cancer get the best of you. My brother in law went through the same things your going through, he beat cancer 4 times including tongue, and throat cancer. You will win this battle, and all your Maverick buddies can't wait to hear you ring that "no more...
It was illegal to have any lights above the headlights, except the amber clearance lights on trucks in NY, and still is I think. I lived there for over 70 years!
If you have an early 2023 Lariat with the Lux package, you may have the heated wipers windshield on your truck. Look for the symbol of the heated wiper lower corner of windshield drivers side by Ford trademark. Later trucks didn't come with that option.
All you have to do if you live in Florida, is to give an out of state address when you buy your ESP from Granger. All correspondence is done on Email, the address is never used.
If you look on Ebay for a HVB from a wrecked Maverick, low mileage batterys are around $1K to $1.5K. + shipping. A battery for a EV is thousands more. Hybrids are the way to go!
Go with the clear edge guard
Go with the clear edge guard. It's cheap, easy to install, or remove, and is invisible. The thick "U" shaped edge guard will leave marks where it was installed after a while plus the paint will be darker (depending on color) where the guard was installed over...
Enjoy your new truck, but don't expect it to be like a Lexus, it will have a few rattles, harsher suspension, and Ford quality. But, with mods, everything can be changed to your liking! Keep reading remarks from members on this forum to find answers to anything you may ask. Welcome!
In the last 50 years, vehicles had very few, if anything that controlled everything that todays vehicles have. There's no way to fix a problem without special programs only dealers have access to. All you need is one thing to happen out of warranty, and you will then decide if you should have...
If you follow any of my answers to questions about ESP's, I always recommend members to get a 10 year ESP from Granger. Keep your Maverick at least 7 years, then decide to sell, with transferable 3 years left for the next owner, or trade in, and get a refund for the remaining 3 years. The cost...
If it wasn't for all the "Recalls" we would not have a reason for this forum. We all joined to ask about problems that others have, that we also are facing. It seems to me I have made many friends (by there sign in names) but never met, that I would miss if I didn't check in every day to read...
This is why I always suggest getting a ESP from Granger. If you have a Lariat the cost for the ESP is the same as it costs for a LX, but covers lots more things that might go bad.
That's why when members ask about an ESP, I always recommend if you're keeping your Maverick for up to 7 or more years, to get a 10 year transferable ESP from Granger, just to cover the cost of labor. I feel that alone will be 250+ an hour sooner then you think.
There will always be a market for a 2 door sports car. I can't think of a major company that stopped making them. If you want more room, then buy a 4 passenger convertible, or coupe. Young people, don't like 4 door cars!
I will give you the same advice I gave other members on this forum. If you intend to keep your truck for at least another 4 years, get a 10 year 60K ESP from Granger. This will cover anything that may need an expensive repair for $100. Remember your Lariat has a lot of electronics that the...
