I thought that might have something to do with the errors, but nobody on the Ford side mentioned anything about it. Plus I didn't change anything in the abs module when I installed cruise.
I had to get our field engineer involved, what they said in return was vague but essentially they fixed the program on their end. I wish I could be more helpful. If your tech reprograms the abs module he might be more successful now. That's what worked for me.
I hope everyone has better luck than I did while programming the abs module. I work at a Ford dealer so I did the update myself using Ford's software FDRS. After the update procedure I had some pretty serious trouble codes and a check engine light. I tried recalibrating the abs module repeatedly...
The XL doesn't have the necessary door modules for that function, I wanted to do the same to mine. The wiring is completely different too, so it's not as simple as adding a missing module.
I use it when I tow my camper so I can keep an eye on things like transmission temperature. It's a great app for reading and displaying data. The downside is that it's read only, no code or parameter changing.
I'm not sure if you found something that works for you, but here's what I did. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/i-added-factory-power-lumbar-support-to-my-xl-maverick-seat.21696/#post-409383
We just had a customer at our dealership that didn't want anybody driving/touching his $100k GT500. Now, after he took delivery, it's in service with 5 miles on the odometer because of an issue with cylinder 4 compression, which likely means it needs a new motor. A simple quality control test...
I just installed a power lumbar in my XL. I thought it would be easy to connect to the power and ground at the under seat connector, but its lacking the wires between the battery junction box and the seat.
I already had a wire running from my battery through the sill channel that powers my brake controller so I tapped into that. I was hoping the connector under the seat was already powered, but unfortunately it's missing the wires going to the battery junction box.
I work at a Ford dealership so I get employee cost. On tascaparts.com the lumbar parts are $27.04, which is very close to what I spent. The switch was $12 from Grainger. I had the primary wire already.
I added the power lumbar support to my driver's side seat. The part number is HU5Z-9665500-G. I chose to remove the motor/cable assembly from the new part and install it on my seat back support so I didn't have to disassemble it. The cable ends are a little tricky to get into the small holes on...
