Not sure about your area but where I live insurance rates are a fair bit higher if there's a lien on the vehicle due it being financed which would likely wipe out most of difference over a 5 year term.
This. The interest cost over the term of the loan at today's rates is horrendous. People should be looking at total cost and not just monthly payment. But most people don't, so I'd be surprised if that was a deterrent to the average North American consumer. Likely its that their monthly payments...
We'd get a long well I think haha. I've never financed a car and I abhor debt. My current car (still waiting for my Maverick) I paid cash for 10 years ago. That was my first new car purchase, and I was originally looking for a used one but they offered me a great deal on a new one so I bit the...
Funny I was JUST wondering what the demographics of Maverick buyers and came to the forums to post a thread asking this very question then I saw this poll.
Ford's marketing seems like it's targeting younger buyers. But where I live almost every Maverick I've seen was driven by men over 40 and...
Thanks for the timeline of how your order went. I also couldn't help but notice the older Ford Ranger in the background. Same colour as your new Maverick, looks like a perfect replacement for the Ranger.
My first vehicle was a 1991 Ranger.
This is typical Canadian customer service. Almost every business that operates in both the US and Canada has way better service south of the border. I think the problem is Canadians are too laid back as consumers so businesses just do whatever. In the US the consumer is more demanding and has...
That's fast! I ordered an Ecoboost XLT from a dealership in Calgary on September 7th. Still nothing. I believe Ford is producing a lot of Lariats in December.
I don't have my Maverick yet but already have the cash ready to pay it in cash. I can stomach eating the depreciation on a brand new vehicle especially with the crazy used market now, and I tend to drive my vehicles for over 10 years. What I can't stomach is paying interest on something that...
Ordered a 2024 Ecoboost XLT AWD with Lux package and 360 on September 7th, 2023. Dealership told me conservatively "spring or early summer 2024".
At least you guys in the US get some communication from Ford. We get nothing up here until it's basically shipped.
Thanks for posting this trip report. This is a very similar set up and type of road trips I want to do from Calgary once I finally get my Maverick. Nice to see the EB has no trouble towing a smaller camper trailer.
Was this a rollover order by any chance? That seems fast for a hybrid! I ordered an XLT Ecoboost on September 7th so hopefully I get a build date early spring.
This is actually an issue for me, not so much the length of the hood but more the slope (or lack thereof). I test drove The Chevy Colorado, Tacoma, Nissan Frontier plus a few SUV's before ordering the Maverick and I didn't find the Maverick bad at all. In fact it easily had the best forward...
I don't have my Maverick yet as I just ordered it on September 7th, but here's why I ordered what I did.
2024 Ecoboost XLT in Cactus Grey
Ecoboost because I live in Canada and want AWD.
XLT because I can't stand leather seats! I probably would have gone Lariat for the better sound system etc...
