We have 84 month terms up here too, depending on the manufacturer. Indeed it is crazy. I think Hyundai and Kia even do 96 month terms up here lol. Buying a car based on the monthly payment is bad enough, but if you have to go to 96 month term even to make a monthly payment on a Hyundai you...
Come to think of it, maybe via Kansas city now that CP Rail and Kansas City Southern have merged so Kansas City is in the CPKC network now too. Not sure if they have agreements with BNSF for this sort or stuff? If they do that means it could very well be on rail all the way to Calgary as Calgary...
Cool thanks. I'm curious about the route my truck will take when it's shipped. I'm in Calgary, Alberta Canada. I wonder if it'll be rail up to Spokane, then trucked into Alberta. Or rail to Vancouver, then CPKC Rail from Vancouver to Calgary and only trucked the last few miles to dealership.
We haven't had much snow in Calgary either. Which is good I guess because I don't have my Maverick yet and my current car isn't the greatest in the snow haha.
I ordered on September 11th, order was confirmed by Ford on September 13th. I got the VIN email from dealership on December 6th but it looks like Ford scheduled my truck on November 30th. Maybe Ford can be a bit slow letting Canadian dealers know when a truck has been scheduled and VIN generated.
⏰ Canada so email from dealer came December 6, 2023 (Mountain time)

Got word from my dealership that my order was scheduled in the last week of January. I'll get a VIN tomorrow.
Canadian order. XLT EcoBoost ordered on September 11th.
I wish I knew about the ridiculous dealership allocation system before placing my order. Ordered in Early September and still haven't heard anything from dealership. I might contact them tomorrow.
I went through a similar mental battle, and I still am somewhat. Though I ordered an EcoBoost for the AWD as I'm in Canada and the winters here can be bad. My dilemma was more about the build quality and comfort difference, however my wife has a Subaru Forester and when we test drove a Maverick...
Ordered my 2024 XLT Ecoboost on September 11th. Hopefully mine will get scheduled in this batch. No idea how Canadian orders get thrown in the mix. We get zero communication (no 45 day emails, nothing).
My math was wrong, I didn't have my sheets with me before. My order all in and including all taxes and applicable fees is $2560 less than the exact spec built including taxes and fees on Ford.ca
Did you order Hybrid or Ecoboost?
I think it was 2% over dealer cost and dealer admin fees waived. My all in quote (including GST) on my order is about $1700 less than building the exact model and options on ford.ca
I ordered using X-plan here in Calgary. Ordered mid September. Dealership said spring or early summer conservatively. But another user here who's also from Calgary ordered his around the same time and already has a build date.
That must vary by school district, when I was in school we had regular school fees (it wasn't much, maybe $100/year or something) which covered textbooks etc.
I have family in Manitoba who criticize AB for not having PST (which blows my mind). They make it sound like we pay a fee to cross the...
