Couldn't agree more, with the cost of repairs and labor rates that unfortunately makes extended warranties look good! I would rather pay for the warranty and have nothing happen than to be stuck with needing a new tranny or engine..
I agree on the 150K crap! I have a 19 Ranger, at the time I had the fluid flushed it had 55ish K miles on it. I don't usually agree with a flush, it's normally not recommended, however it was the Ford dealer that does all my maintenance and repair plus it's still under warranty. So I thought if...
lol, good chuckle on this one. My wifeās Tacoma has it and personally I donāt like it. The 67 F250 I use to have was a tank, including the tailgate and managed just fine. I miss that truck.
Thanks, totally curious. It is a personal preference of course. In the trucks I have owned since the 70ās, earliest being a 67 F250 Camper Special, I never even thought of dampening the tailgate, those older truck tailgates were heavy too. I find it interesting.
I agree it's dampening, not assisting. I have not checked for myself, I have assumed the tailgate to be aluminum mainly because Ford is using aluminum on many body parts on their trucks, including my Ranger. I am curious as to why people want a dampened tailgate. Me personally don't want one and...
Are tailgate assists really necessary on an aluminum tailgate? Really curious on why some people need these.
Edit: I had assumed its aluminum, based on my Ranger being aluminum. Is it steel or aluminum? Funny thing, my Ranger tailgate isn't dampened but my glovebox is!
Sport mode in my Ranger is fun, hangs on to gears longer, worse gas mileage but fun to drive in. Very torqy and I suspect a change in valve timing. Almost like a mild tune. I know itās not a hybrid but had to put my 2C in
I have a 19 Ranger, I check my mileage with a calculator and compare with truck computer, hand calculator always is 2 to 4 mpg lower than truck readouts. Looks like Ford fudges a bit.
I have looked at the data, was curious on your opinion that's all. I believe the 0 to 60 to be in the 7ish range which is pretty good considering everything. When I first saw it I thought it to be slow! Funny really to think that, I grew up in the 60's and 70's, received my license in 74 cars...
