Use rubbing alcohol and a paper towel to remove the old rain-x. Clean the crap out of your windshield again (in the shade) and reapply the rain-x (again in the shade). I use it too and always put it on in my garage or the shade.

I agree with previous replies. Use a USB thumb drive. I have mine formatted to FAT32. You can even make playlists (I used good old WinAmp) and Sync4 reads them perfectly. It also starts playing just a second or two after turning on the vehicle.
