One could POTENTIALLY replicate the 1/4 20 GoPro mounting lug using this threaded brass insert. The bonus to this would be only needing access from the top side of the dash. I have not done this as i dont have a Maverick and this is just an idea. If you drill through your airbags that is on you...
I think Jalopnik explains it pretty well why Ford has kept the large monopole antenna on most of their trucks as it is the best performance to receive AM/FM in rural areas. Most (?) Maverick owners likely live in urban/suburban areas and do not need the better performance...
The battery that is accessible when you lift the rear seat is the 12v battery that you would find in any car. The high voltage battery is is also under the seat but outside of the cabin attached to the undercarriage of the truck.
Does anyone have a picture of the hybrid 12v battery where the battery is exposed? The type 99R battery used seems to be on the smaller side and was wondering if there was space to "upgrade".
Could someone measure the width of the raised ribs on the roof? Really hoping they are at least 5 inches wide to allow for the install of this antenna.

If you are looking to remove your spare...here is an interesting bit of kit to bring along spare gas or potable water in its place.

Once my Mav comes in i will be able to donate my crappy Harbor Freight compressor to goodwill and pick up the Viair 88p. This looks to be perfect to semi permanently hook up to one of the 12v leads in the bed. It maxes out at 20 amps. With a 16 foot hose should be able to easily reach any tire...
A different kind of opener to put in the cubby. While driving it would be hard to access the ones attached to the tailgate. Side benefit is the cubby would catch the bottle caps.
I know LEDs are supposed to last "forever" but ive had after market LED taillights fail in other cars likely due to bad design/heat. I'd be interested to see how long these last.
I was thinking that are but was concerned about the driver knee airbags and where those deploy from. I've only seen close ups of the trailer brake switches so didnt know how much room that would allow to use there.
Trying to plan out where i can install aftermarket switches for lights/etc without running afoul of airbags and such. If you have installed some already post the pics.
