Owner's Manual for the Maverick shows 16.5 gal. tank for Eco Boost, 13.8 gal. tank for hybrid. Could be some variables to consider...computer not exactly accurate...some fuel added into the filler tube...gas station fuel pump not calibrated correctly allowing them to indicate more fuel than...
The info I had when I bought the C-max was that the battery is expected to last the life of the vehicle...whatever that may be. As the battery ages, it may not hold a charge as long, or may not reach 100% charge, but at least there's a gas engine to fall back on (unlike total electrics).
The Montana will no doubt appeal to GM people.
Awhile back our observation on the Chevy HHR was that it was a PT Cruiser for people who'll only drive a car with a bowtie.
I'm really glad to see that hood struts will be available for the Maverick. I put them on all four of the PT Cruisers we've had and it is sooo nice not to have to work around a prop rod. As a point of reference, I installed them on my 2003 PT in July of 2005 and they still work fine. They were...
Our FWD C-maxes have been getting us through the last several winters with just some aggressive all-season tires. If our Maverick doesn't get built until March-April at least I won't have to worry about 4 snows until next year.
This is the first time in my 60+ years that I've actually ordered a vehicle. Two of our good friends who bought 2001 PT Cruisers both had to wait 6 months for their cars. We bought our 2003 in 2004, used, and the '04 and '05 were on the dealer's lot. By December of 2009 the '03 and '05 PT's had...
I thought I wanted the chrome letters for the tailgate, but after seeing a Tundra with the red, white, & blue flag letters I may have to look for something similar.
My Lariat hybrid was ordered on Aug 16...have only had 2 emails from Ford...the first was acceptance of the order...the second was the announcement of the EPA certification, that my name was on a truck, and that I would be getting the free accessory package.
No word about VIN numbers...
When ordering parts for my 2010 PT Cruiser, some things would fit 2009 but not 2010 (identical). Always assumed the range wasn't updated. Same with Maverick...the main thing I found with bulbs is the base. It has to plug in to work...912 vs. 1157 for example.
I once asked my insurance company if an AWD minivan cost more to insure than the FWD. I was told yes, not because I might be driving offroad, but because there is more to repair after an accident. Some vehicles cost more because they have more glass area.
I replaced all of the bulbs except the headlamps with LED's on my PT Cruisers. For the front park/turn bulbs I have "switchbacks" which are white for park then flash amber when the turn signal is on. Tail/Brake bulbs are red LED's. I have 2 resistors on each side which are added to the turn...
