You've ignored that the 12v battery doesn't start the engine.
Then on top of that it's not charged by an old school engine rpm dependent alternator. It is charged by a dc to dc inverter...
I bet it does since the engine can literally turn off while you are driving.
If you can't handle that you'll have to by an EV to get your great mileage.

Two points.
1. I do not trust the EV vs Gas calculator.
2. I will hypermile my hybrid Mav to 45 mpgs for an entire tank once just cause. I was able to get my Prius v to 47.2 mpg for an entire tank (manually calculated) driving 90% highway vs an EPA rating of 40 mpg.

You have to do at least 3 fill ups before your data becomes visible to the public.

Watch the cluster as he drives, left circle specifically. Being at 0 for the white part of the circle means the engine is not helping move the truck. As he presses the pedal harder or goes faster the needle goes into the white. As he slows and regens power the needle goes down into the green.
