  1. Maverick owners beware! Factory decals removed in automatic car wash! [UPDATED: removed decals]

That's some cheap crap right there. I've put vinyl decals from eBay on my vehicles and NEVER had an an issue with a car wash. I never baked on my ebay vinyl stickers.
  2. FYI. Looks like 2.5 Hybrid owners need not fear 2.0 Ecoboosts on the streets.

Correct while regen is part of it the engine also has to be able to efficiently recharge the battery/energize the traction motor and provide power to the drive wheels. You can achieve better MPGs by driving it like it's weaker than it is which means accelerate very slowly.
  3. FYI. Looks like 2.5 Hybrid owners need not fear 2.0 Ecoboosts on the streets.

That's not how it works. The current 2.5L engine isn't even strong enough to power the traction motor to its full potential. "Output jumps from 88 kW (118 hp) and 149 lb-ft of torque in the 2021 Ford Escape to 98 kW (131 hp) and 173 lb-ft. But the Maverick's motor power is actually pegged at...
  4. FYI. Looks like 2.5 Hybrid owners need not fear 2.0 Ecoboosts on the streets.

What makes you think the test wasn't done with premium gas?
  5. FYI. Looks like 2.5 Hybrid owners need not fear 2.0 Ecoboosts on the streets.

My point is more so for us hybrid owners. Hybrids for the most part have been slower. Then consider the fact that the Ecoboost engine brings a $1k premium makes the hybrid's performance in comparison a nice surprise.
  6. FYI. Looks like 2.5 Hybrid owners need not fear 2.0 Ecoboosts on the streets.

This is some motor Trend data from last month. I just got around to seeing it today. The far two right columns are mine. EB with 4k has a gear ratio advantage on take off versus a non 4K EB. The 0-40 mph lead would therefor be smaller without it. Hybrid is 0.5 seconds quicker 60 to 80mph and...
  7. New Motortrend Review: 2022 Maverick Pros and Cons Review: A Small Truck With a Big Impact [w/ Acceleration Numbers]

Someone likely did this already but whatever. Hybrid is 0.5 seconds quicker 60 to 80 and 0.2 seconds quicker 40-70 mph which leads to the 45-65 mph 0.1 second that MT stated. Who would have thought the hybrid would win a 40 mph roll race to 90 mph by 0.4 seconds. That said, EB's don't roll...
  8. Hybrid production has been completely stopped for 2022 Mavericks, per my dealer

I don't trust dealers but I have always doubted that all the ordered 2022 Hybrids would actually get delivered before the 2023 MY comes out.
  9. 📈 Maverick December 2021 Sales & Production Numbers: 6,030 Sold / 5,491 Produced

Their points are valid. Ford wants to move to mostly custom orders and less stock orders. They currently show they have no ability to handle that. Ford has also shown they do not care about when an order is placed and are randomly choosing which orders to build and which to leave unscheduled.
  10. Fuelly.com finally has a Hybrid Maverick.

Please continue to update the forum as more Mavs and fillups are added.
  11. My Real World Hybrid MPG

Hi. Prius owner here. You have to drive long enough to make up for the engine starting or your MPGs will be low. The engine is always going to start at some point. Also don't sweat your MPGs for extremely short trips like this. If this is the type of commute you always do then who cares what...
  12. 102.5 MPG is nice. Wish all my trips where this good.

    PHEV would be even higher.
  13. Fuelly.com finally has a Hybrid Maverick.

Currently 24 trucks have logged at least 3 fill ups. Looking at the chart can you tell which one is the hybrid. 😆 https://www.fuelly.com/car/ford/maverick/2022
  14. 📈 Maverick December 2021 Sales & Production Numbers: 6,030 Sold / 5,491 Produced

Average time on lot - 4 days with Dealer Markups Just imagine if there where NO dealer markups. Average time would be 1 day or less. At the same time this is proof that dealer marks up make sense for the market the Mav is in. Ford can't even imagine keeping up with the demand.
  15. 🔺 Price Increase: 2022 Maverick XLT, Lariat, Options & Packages (For Orders Placed Beginning 12/27)

This is nothing. No doubt 2023 will see at least a $1k jump on all base prices.
  16. Hybrid getting ready to ship?

I saw your other post where you have already picked up the truck from the other spot. Those sneaky dealers.
  17. If Not Maverick What Vehicle Would You Have Bought?

Your existing combo is awesome but replacing it with a hybrid Mav is even better.
  18. If Not Maverick What Vehicle Would You Have Bought?

Nothing. I was not vehicle shopping when I learned about the hybrid Mav and if it didn't exist I wouldn't be buying anything for at least 2-3 more years.
