As you’ve probably guessed, I’m not responding to help you understand. And I’m not responding for the members who have been on here long enough to know better b/c they’ve been there done that and bought the tshirt. I’m responding so that newbies joining know where to get reliable information...
  2. Ford Marketing - Maverick Name - 1970's Maverick

I’ve been thinking the same thing. Maverick looks like Ford’s label for all things economy, practical and as the OP shared from the original ads simple. Maverick seems to replace things like Focus, Ecosport, and Fiesta vehicles. But still, It does look like Ford has a hit on their hands and...
  3. Toyota Admitting to Lowering Their "Acceptable Quality" Standards while Increasing Profits 12%

I’ve heard about the so-called Toyota quality, and regretted it after I bought a Tacoma TRD Off-road. Day one, I had rust weeping from the drain holes at the bottom of the door and found out about the rusty frames and decided not to chance it, even though we get little snow in the Southeastern...
  4. To Lock in or not to lock in, that is the question...

Cannot believe I’m saying this but I think your dealership may be right about needing a vin to submit an application. And you may have to close by the expiration date to get the special rate but I could be wrong. I’m showing loans at more like 2-3% depending on the bank/term. Maybe others with...
  5. Maverick is a SNOW MACHINE!!!! [Watch]

That’s pretty sweet makes me almost regret my hybrid but we get little to no snow down this way.

But the thread is about will it impact your Ford Maverick order for 2022? And the facts say, no it will likely not. So yeah the original OP is a joke by taking a dealership at face value. And we have a magnesium producer in Salt Lake City Utah that’s a major supplier for all of North America...
  7. Credit score for Ford financing deals?

I think 750+ should be good enough to get into special rate offers but your credit passes through the dealership. That’s where you have to be careful and may need to do some homework in advance to be armed with a rate match. I prefer to steer clear of those offers and avoid standard rates...
  8. Credit score for Ford financing deals?

The engagement ring loan may have impacted your score. FICO treats consumer finance companies differently and that may explain the 20 point drop. If the zero interest ring loan was treated as a consumer finance company loan type on your credit report, it may be a good idea to payoff and close.

Okay, I will let you go back to folding up your tin foil hat. For everyone else in the real world, material statements by a senior officer of a publicly traded company are vetted by legal and nobody at that level would jeopardize their career. Thats why Elon Musk was sued by the SEC over a...

Well don’t let a little thing like facts stand in the way, right? On the last earnings call Ford’s CFO said: John Lawler -- Chief Financial Officer Yeah. So from the magnesium standpoint, when we look at that, you know, we are seeing price pressure on aluminum broadly. You know, we saw that...

Yes my previous post was irreverent but also completely true/relevant as it completely busts the myths shared on this post. I put the time stamps so folks can hear it from Fordvideoguy/Tim. If you said spray in bed liner, maybe but not metal or rubber tires, lol. Obviously not true.

Ford’s CEO Jim Farley told CNBC, speaking about scaling up to meet demand for the electric Ford 150 said that his main concerns right now above any others are battery packs. Ford spokesperson said about Hybrid Maverick orders: "We planned for approximately 40 percent of Maverick production to...

Yeah I picked that up. I’m not worried. In real life, I’m probably considered overeducated. And still, not smartest person in the room but smart enough to hire them. To each their own. No problems with our northern, or southern neighbors and wish the OP all the best making decisions with...

  16. A Maverick Buying Process and 200 Mile Review

Looks like you got a really good deal, especially since you bought existing inventory. Dealership probably made some money on the Cruze but you do have to throw them a bone with scarce inventory. Good job sticking up for yourself on the market adjustments. More people need to hold the line...
  17. Dealer allocation how is it done in your area?

Glad you were able to get something. Right on the money about after the sale, that’s where the dealer relationship provides some leverage to the consumer by threatening to pull away one or the other. Personally, I don’t have a single problem with the Santa Cruz. Yeah they’re a bit more...
  18. Dealer allocation how is it done in your area?

Long MacArthur said 300-400 total a month or so ago. I highly doubt the 1,000+ orders. Feels like an exaggeration. My dealership said 12 and when I asked total? My salesman corrected to just the ones he submitted and the dealership has 44 total. Who knows at this point, except God and Ford.
  19. Changed Order Placement?

it looks like the dealership probably took your original order and placed a new one. Its a win-win for the dealership because now they have an order to sell to you at low margin and an extra order to markup. As others have said, Tim/Ford Video Guy tells us not to do anything when your order...

I am so doing that. Thanks for sharing!
