I just put this in my truck, too. It's a very close match (satin-matte black) in color and finish and fits nicely too. It does a good job of harmonizing with AC area color just below. The light gray is a little too bright, and a bit too much IMHO.
I just cut out the side window vent holes with heavy-duty scissors (about 1/2" wider & taller, at the outside edges & bottoms) and it seems to fit better. I Didn't want to give up on my "Maverick" dash mat.
Sorry to hear they don't include the "MAVERICK" embroidery in red letters anymore. The original posting I saw on Amazon and bought was Not Specific about it... just a hint of "custom letters."
Thanks for the good advice... I've ordered the audio knob area black trim piece on e-Bay, and the Soft Open tailgate damper from my local Ford dealer (it's a Ford Accessory, & got it n/c using my Ford Pass Reward points); I'll have them both next week!
Yes, I saw that "hint" after I saw the embroidery I received; I went back to look more closely at the listing. I overlooked the hint when ordering, being primarily drawn by the cut-out style & low price.
Sorry, I guess they sold out within 2 days of my posting photos; shows the power & reach of MTC! Others here liked it too, enough to order one right away. At their low price, as I said, I was surprised when I got the embroidered 'MAVERICK' in red block letters. Maybe they'll make more soon? Good...
Sorry, I guess they sold out in the 2-3 days since I posted. At their low price, they likely don't offer custom colors; I was surprised when I got the red letters at all. Maybe they'll make more soon? Good Luck.
73 last July, and lovin' my Hot Pepper Red XLT hybrid that we just picked up last week after ordering it in Sept. '22. It has less the 300 mi. but it seems such a Nice compact short-bed truck; good visibility and driver assist safety features(we have CoPilot360), and very good mpg so far.
This is why we pay a little more for "Full Glass Coverage" ($50-$75/Yr., with no Detuctable) on our cars here in AZ. We crack & replace a windshield about every 12-18 months from rock impacts on one of our two sedans. I'll get the same coverage for our new XLT also.
I'd just unfolded it from its packaging and put it on the dash when I took the photo. It may flatten better after a while, warmed by the sun. If not, I plan to borrow my wife's hand-held Clothing Steamer (removes wrinkles) to see if that relaxes and smooths the mat.
Say, did you hear it was...
Regarding the dash cover design I chose, I saw that the Lariat trim has speakers in the forward center dash near the windshield. That explains the "Sun cut-outs," though they didn't bother me.
I'm early 70s in age, married, and our last new car purchase was a 2005 Honda Civic sedan (this, after leasing a 1997 Accord). We've owned several used cars over the years. Since 2010 we've had 2 PT Cruisers (one was the GT turbo!), and a 2016 Subaru Outback. However, I drove many new Fords as...
Our last new car purchase was a 2006 Honda Civic sedan, but we've had 2 used PT Cruisers since (one was the GT turbo), and a used Subaru Outback. However, I drove many Fords as "company cars" (about 8; I was in outside sales) for over 23 years (last one was a 2015 FLEX). When I heard about the...
Sure, for me here are my thoughts on dash covers,
1) it avoids distracting sunlight reflections off dash onto the inner windshield (cover being black),
2) it keeps the dash clean & neat (no stains or scratches), yet easy to clean (wash/dry cover), and
3) it can customize the appearance...
That's the one I was going to go with, but I liked the "non-slip silicone dots" on the base of the one I got, rather than Velcro strips; sliding has not been a problem, either. The red embroidery was a really Nice surprise, though.
