The '22 rollover order IF the dealer is reputable, and actually cares about their reputation and building a relationship with their client. It's what I would do if I was still selling Fords.
Doesn't matter. The Fleet Bulletin is what showed EVERY model and their subsequent "last date spec change", "balance out" dates, "order banks open" dates, "order scheduling begins" date and "Job 1" dates. There were lines for specific fleet production as well as general vehicle ordering (stock...
The order guides should be on FMC Dealer sometime in late July. It definitely won't be a few days before the banks open. When I was selling Fords ('97-'20) I've gotten order guides for vehicles up to a few months in advance. So been on the lookout for it by mid July at the earliest.
I'm hoping...
As someone who sold Fords for a very long time, DO NOT give a deposit for any vehicle that cannot physically be ordered yet. Whenever I had a customer for something new that was eventually coming (the 2011 5.0 Mustang GTs for example) out but I had NO information to order one, no order guides to...
I have no dog in this fight, but I gotta say, you gotta love how a bunch of people here say they would have anticipated the actions of the Jeep driver. Like everyone who responded with blame for the OP, are some amazing drivers with racecar driver like reflexes. I'll go ahead and say it. NO ONE...
Based on what I saw for many years, the order guide should be out sometime late June to mid July. It's usually out well in advance (several weeks to a month or more) before the order banks open up. So I would hope to see it mid June at the earliest. But again, Ford could change this at any time. 👍
I know your deal was a purchase. I was just clearing up all those who were mentioning the acquisition fee, that's all. The Doc fee is a royal PITA. It's getting out of hand frankly. When I left the business it was $398, in Pennsylvania! And for context, the dealership paid us $150 (before tax)...
Hey bud, feel free to PM me any questions. I sold Fords for over 23 years ('97-'20) before I had to leave the business due to health (severe Crohn's disease). I too will be ordering a 2023 the day they open the order banks (currently in my extended lease Fusion Energi). So please bounce any...
Just to clarify the fee for leasing. It's the acquisition fee for leasing with Ford (RCL). It's actually $645 and it CAN NOT be paid separately. It has to be added into the lease calculations. Yes, many years ago, you could lower your monthly payment by requesting to pay the acquisition fee up...
I'm hoping if they are keeping it basically the same (which is typical for the next model year following a launch of a new vehicle) that they at least offer a few new colors. I was all for Area 51 but now, if Ford offers Eruption Green, that's what I'm going to order on August 16th. 🙏
You mean for plugging it in? It's or the 12v battery. That's the battery that keeps the electronics running while it's off. If I didn't drive my Fusion daily, I'd plug it in. I'll just say it, the car my wife has that she keeps plugged in, is a Lamborghini (2009 LP560-4 Gallardo). It's driven...
Not necessarily. You can always just get a C-Tek battery maintainer (or those Viking digital chargers from HF) and leave it plugged in. Nothing wrong with that. You can get the attachments that bolt to the terminals and you can leave the cord poke through somewhere and leave it plugged in when...
I can add some light to this. While I don't have a Maverick yet (waiting to order a 2023) I do have a Fusion Energi. It's my 2nd lease (which has been extended due to not being able to get a 2022), but my 1st one I got in 2016, after going home from work and parking it outside. Next morning, I...
While I didn't handle that process back in the day (it was usually handled by the General Manager after he checked the deal and before it went upstairs to accounting) once our GM passed away (suddenly 😢) either the finance manager or the fleet manager would file for it. The original DORA when it...
I can shed some light on this topic as I was a Ford salesperson for 23 years (I started in 1997 at the age of 20, to 2020) before I left due to Crohn's disease. For an order to be price protected, it must be a retail order, with a customer name on it and the same person has to purchase the car...
I'll be ordering a 2023 come August from my old dealership I sold cars for (for 23 years). Owner said no problem. Now take that with a grain of salt as I worked there for so long and extended my Fusion Energi lease to be able to get a 2023. But it's in Pa.
That's very true. It always works better on the higher MSRP vehicles. But the one thing that X-Plan does, is it limits the doc fee to a MAX $100! In some states the doc fee is outrageous (In PA, it was $398 when I left the business 1/31/2020). So that alone is a good savings! 👍
