Different battery chemistry than a 'normal' lead-acid. Supposed to last a little longer between charges, able to be mounted in any orientation-- that makes them real popular with the jeep and motorcycle crowd. Also a lot more expensive!
I've ignored them all so far. Not sure that this one applies to me, although my truck was built in the time frame, it isn't showing up in the app. We'll see if I get a letter later this week. I'm at 5 recalls, if I get the half dozen I might make an appointment.
Same here, very happy with the truck but I haven't had any recalls done yet. Although the sleep issues are pretty annoying and more frequent, now that I've shorted my commute from 25 miles down to 3. I hope the AGM battery helps you!
Lol bunch of upset nerds in this thread.
I put 14.555 gallons in my hybrid on a fill-up earlier this year, wonder where that extra .7 gallons went!!!
In fact, there have been 10 fill-ups where I've gone over 13.8, must be Big Gas taking a cut
I called 1-800-392-3673 . Got bounced around a few times before landing at the right spot.
My check engine light never came on. Engine temp display never showed abnormally high, either. But that coolant tank was sure empty. I wonder if yours is not opening/closing as expected, and so...
Arkansas charges $100 for Hybrids and $200 for EVs, annually. It's a bunch of crap. Charge Tyson and Walmart for the damage their trucks do to the road, not the responsible taxpayers who are already paying a ton of taxes elsewhere.
To be fair to that dealership, they didn't sell me the mav. I mean, I'm sure they would have, I just happened to go with a different dealer for the order.
Also, I would rather have a certified technician working on the vehicle rather than some untrained greybeard who thinks throwing epoxy at...
Lol how dumb is that. They are obligated to replace. Call the Ford 1-800 number and start a case number, or find a new service department!
My dealer just said that Ford is recalling the recall parts, even the new parts don't meet the safety standards. Dunno how true that is, I haven't...
I wonder if this is the same issue as mine: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/coolant-leak-near-exhaust-exhaust-pipe-auxillary-heater.25423/
But your dealer told you it had to do with the battery coolant? My HVB coolant reservoir was still full but the radiator/ICE reservoir was...
This is the part that failed: Exhaust Pipe Auxillary Heater https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/c...ir-parts/auxiliary-heater-assembly-14222109-1
It doesn't have anything to do with the battery coolant, that is a separate cooling circuit and is not leaking at all. The leak came from the...
Update today... Ford had the manufacturer send the part to the dealership directly, rather than to a Ford plant where it can be repackaged I guess. That part arrived last week. I'm sitting at the dealership now, drinking their coffee and using their wifi waiting on this two hour job...
