Lower part of grill is snapped into bumper cover and is almost impossible to release the pressed in tongs without access of entire cover off . It’s not bad taking whole thing off. You will spend most of the time messing with inner fender liners and clips , the rest is like 10 minutes.

For 1” should be enough , generally just need the bolts once around the 2” to 2 1/2” area. They are a metric aftermarket strut bolt readily available in alignment shops ( same as a Subaru)

They are a 255/75/17 BFG Mud Terrain currently . The goal being a 285/75/17 in the next couple months with about 3” more height and 6-7” more width !
