  1. Even the mighty can stumble

Guessing they are posting it because some people on this forum decry how bad Ford is because of a few engine failures and that they are going back to totally reliable Hondas and Toyotas.
  2. Got pulled over because of Bully hitch step

There's a reason the plate number has to be clearly visible from 50'. If they are looking for a particular vehicle and plate number and your vehicle matches the description but they can't clearly see the plate number you will get pulled over and be wasting their time if you aren't the one they...
  3. No Scheduling Today

If they didn't have an allocation system a few big dealers would get all of the cars and small, rural dealers would get none. They are allocated on sales so all dealers get a chance but does reward good performers (isn't that the way we do it in a capitalist economy). There is no guarantee on...
  4. Program rate lock 21346?

https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/apr-rate-lock-private-offer.26871/post-501605 Reference to the offer from a Ford employee.
  5. Drivers rear running lights not working....

There was a recall for trailer lights not working.
  6. Ford Maverick windshield and dash rattle

Thank goodness Honda has never made a car with a rattle.
  7. My 23 hybrid order turned into a more expensive 24 but dealer assured me the new price wasn't real

Ford gave clear instructions to dealers on how to handle the rollovers. There was also plenty of info about it on forums and Youtube for how people with orders could check that it was done correctly so they would get the transition offer (it was not a '23 price guarantee but an amount that would...
  8. Dealer stock order hybrids

During 'clean up week' scheduling if a dealer does not have a retail order to meet production requirements and they have an open allocation they can place a stock order.
  9. Maverick Owners Warned Not to Use OBD 11 Connector

Being picky about wording goes both ways. 'A properly designed product plugged' is a weasel phrase. How do you determine any OBDII is properly designed? There is no way to determine which ones are properly designed. Cars today are computers with wheels. Unless you designed the vehicle you won't...
  10. Thinking of Making my own 2.3

If you want to waste money just send it to me.
  11. Warning! LED Bulb distributors

Couple of things - Panda Motorworks are a sponsor of the forum so you could contact them here. The Lasfit turn signal lights will go into hyperdrive if you have to sit and wait on a long turn light. They say they do that to keep the resistor from overheating.
  12. Fixes/improvements for ‘24??

My Lariat is quiet with no rattles. No truck will be as quiet as an MB so set your expectations appropriately.
  13. Ram Rampage coming 2024 as Maverick competition

As part of the UAW settlement, Stellantis announced a mid-sized pickup, maybe named Dakota, to possibly be built at its Belvidere plant but no details on specs. Said it could be EV, hybrid and/or ICE. No compact pickup announcement was made.
  14. Windshield crack!

I thought we were also counting the car one.
  15. Windshield crack!

I heard over 2 million Maverick windshields have cracked. Too bad you don't have a Jeep Wrangler - you can get a Gorilla windshield that has stronger glass.
  16. 19k miles and issues are starting to pop up

#3. My infotainment system didn't come with the crap option. #4. The ACC has detailed limitations on vehicle detection shown in the Owner's Manual. You might want to read that book. The 'grips' you mention seems to indicate you wanted a more expensive vehicle and not a Maverick.
  17. Farm Bureau says discount last till january ? NYS farm bureau

Like all such programs they have an expiration. The FB one just renews each year (but could stop anytime). I don't know how they can afford to give $500 for a $20 membership.
  18. Side-by-Side Comparison of BAP'ed and non-BAP'ed Headlights

I BAP'd my truck except for the headlights. Not worth a little change in the looks compared to the risk of damaging them and paying big money to replace them.
  19. GM just shut down EV production

WSJ said GM is cutting back their over-ambitious goal of producing 400,000 EV by next year and are shutting down the Bolt this year as they roll out new EV models this year and next. Someone has been taking the phrase Rocky Mountain "High" literally.
