Who's to say they won't build more models? Ford said the new low cost EV can support 8 models, but only named 6. A EV Thunderbird might be in the works.
My son who just interviewed for a job at Ford told me about this recently. He said it's so voice command will work even in convertibles with the top down.
I wanted eruption Green, since 2021. When it wasn't offered again for 23, I just ordered at Atlas. Then when green was announced, the blue was sold. Jumped out and in again when the deals were right.
In October of 24 I sold my 23 hybrid XL for $600 more than I paid, and I paid sticker. 13 months and 28,000 miles.
Waited 6 months, found the exact AWD Hybrid 4K tow XL I wanted for $2,450 off. A new 26 with the same options is $35K. I paid under $30k.
Not only did I get the 4k tow and the color I wanted, but got it in the trim I wanted and with the SIBL I wanted too. Perfectly built.
And I feel that for the next several years, resale will be higher than the cost of the option. 4K Hybrids are HARD to find used.
None of the sheet metal was ever used on a car, so so I don't consider it car based like a Ranchero which was always based on a station wagon and had 2 doors. Maverick is not that. It's a truck, even if it blurs lines it has no car counterpart.
But I'd gladly drive A Ford or Mercury Durango...
My 25 Maverick replaced my Flex, which replaced my 23 Maverick, which replaced my 99 E150 club wagon (bought because my New 5.0 Mustang couldn't haul anything but ass) which replaced my F150 RCSB 5.0. So in a roundabout way, my Maverick replaced my F150.
Fake? Sure. It's still live on their site. https://www.diehltoyotabutler.com/heres-what-we-know-about-toyotas-new-compact-pickup/https://www.diehltoyotabutler.com/heres-what-we-know-about-toyotas-new-compact-pickup/
