  1. 2025 HYBRID AWD MPG?

QUOTE="mechgingeneet, post: 901959, member: 33847"] So refreshing to see someone who understands how the eCVT and planetary gear system works! Drive ratios are somewhat meaningless with the Maverick Hybrid's eCVT. I'd like to know what Ford really did to "beef up" the transmission for 2025 - I...
  2. 2025 HYBRID AWD MPG?

I am getting better mpg than my 23 FWD hybrid did. The 23 was only rated 40 city, just like my 25 AWD. Current tank is sitting about 41 mpg, in mostly less than ideal short trips. When I get to work, or home from work it's finally above 40 mpg. Those cold start warm ups burn gas, and my...
  3. Tremor CV axle failure

All CV shafts will fail. But 45k seems a bit better that what others with non Tremors reported. Jury is out on how long the 25's updated half shafts will live.
  4. How to display hybrid power screen

If it is a 25, it can display on the far right section of the screen. You may need to scroll down to it.
  5. Poll: Who here is interested in Buying the New Ford EV Midsize Pickup in 2027

Some people have more than 1 vehicle. I currently have 5. One of them that my wife drives. About once a year I let one go, and add another. I only have a payment on the Maverick.
  6. Was I Taken For A Ride?

There really are no "good" deals on Mavericks. You buy it or you don't. Not much room for negotiations, except on a trade. I was happy I got in on the employee pricing a few months ago. I got one with over $4,000 in options for the same that you paid. I didn't trade anything. I sold my 23...
  7. Poll: Who here is interested in Buying the New Ford EV Midsize Pickup in 2027

If I bought an EV, it would be for local use. Still use a different vehicle for traveling.
  8. Poll: Who here is interested in Buying the New Ford EV Midsize Pickup in 2027

Should be longer, since they claim you can lock up bikes in it.
  9. Poll: Who here is interested in Buying the New Ford EV Midsize Pickup in 2027

I stopped off roading 30 years ago. Did not need AWD on my Hybrid either, but it had it, and it should be good at resale time.
  10. Poll: Who here is interested in Buying the New Ford EV Midsize Pickup in 2027

Love my Hybrid, but will take a good look at the new EV truck and Maverick van when they come out. No interest in a PHEV Maverick though.
  11. Maverick Van prototype shown to Ford dealers (for 2025?)

Update on the van project. https://fordauthority.com/2025/08/ford-maverick-based-van-still-happening-production-set-for-2028/
  12. 2026 Maverick pricing, new colors (Orange Fury & Marsh Gray), FWD ECO 2.0 returns

Personally, I think the XLT wheels suck. While aluminum and better looking than the steelies, they have not been updated in 5 years. I love everything else about the XL. The black seats look nicer, not having weird blue or orange accents inside. I like my interiors dark. Turning a key to start...
  13. U-haul 6x12 trailer, what ball hitch and drop do I need?

You would only need a drop on a Ranger or bigger. Maverick hitch is low. Watch your gate if you open it with any trailer.
  14. U-haul 6x12 trailer, what ball hitch and drop do I need?

Pretty sure it would be no drop for the u haul, but a 2" drop may work. 2" rise should be closer. My little square drop camper required a 16"-17" ball height.
  15. Mabett New Product Preview | Coming This September ✨

Many companies selling this design now.
  16. U-haul 6x12 trailer, what ball hitch and drop do I need?

No drop. I bought a small camper and needed a rise. It was fairly low. I dropped the trailer 6", then I needed a slight drop hitch.
  17. U-haul 6x12 trailer, what ball hitch and drop do I need?

Should be a 2" ball, no drop or slight rise should be fine.
  18. Proof of oil change!

Yes,just a belly pan for aero. Not a skid plate.
  19. 2024 Maverick hybrid has a defective axle

No half shafts, but it does have a rear twist beam axle. Looks like it twisted to much.
