Agree. After driving mine today, I would give it the same grade. Still, much better, but perhaps a future TSB will tweak it a little toward the 100% target.
Hate to be the one to throw water on you but I and others here would be a little concerned about the patch job they did. It appears that the wiring itself is aluminum not copper. So soldering a copper lug to an aluminum wire is not a good idea. The TSB clearly states that the entire harness is...
I've had the grabby brakes since I picked up my Maverick nearly a year ago. Probably used auto hold 3 times during that period. Has nothing to do with it. Since the programming update appears to resolve the issue, it is clear it was a software problem not related to the auto hold feature.
Nope. Nothing to do with the Auto Hold feature, just bad software programming. Got my TSB done today and brakes are acting correctly so far. Also they updated all modules that would take updates and replaced the EGR sensor mentioned in TSB 22-2493. So far happy camper.
Correct. No hybrids have a way to turn off auto stop that I know of. It is part of how a hybrid works. At anytime you stop, unless you are demanding heat from the gas engine, the engine will stop.
Appreciate you explaining this. Having a Hybrid, I would be interested in knowing how "slippery mode" works that makes it beneficial for the Hybrid models. I drove today in that mode through our snow and ice and I must say it did really seem to help.
Don't be so certain. Parts get revised all of the time. You may get a new version of a part that turns out to be problematic but earlier versions were fine. Just the way things work.
