Another review with the hybrid.
"During an hour-long drive through downtown Nashville and into the rural county roads, I averaged 52 miles per gallon on the dot. Thanks to regenerative braking, my estimated range increased from 396 miles to 412 miles."...
If both platforms produce plenty of hp/torque for the average driver, why not consider the one with the best mpg? I've not seen one review that the hybrid was not a capable machine for most. Especially with the cost of fuel these days. I believe once Ford gets up to speed with production, I...
I track it. "Run of the mill" 180 hp is plenty for me. No need of more hp, gets me where I want to go just fine. Personally would rather have the better gas mileage. I have no plans to tow or drag race. If I do I'll rent what I need to do so. The Maverick is for every day normal driving so I see...
I'll buy 30 on the highway but that 22 city is low. I would be doubtful it was rated 22 while using a turbo by EPA. It should do better. I think most people will drive city/rural most of the time. Which is why the hybrid is the gem. BTW, the Maverick is listed at 3700#, the Outback is 3900.
See this just doesn't impress me. The Maverick is not a heavy vehicle and it has a small 2 liter engine. you would think that they could squeeze more mpg out of an ICE of that size. In comparison, my 2015 Subie Outback with a 2.5 liter was rated 25/33 back then. I still get the same with it...
Tim just stated on his last live cast he has been trying to get answers but only hearing it is the EPA holding it up but knows nothing else. Unless of course he heard something new today. I'll ask.
