I've had my truck for about 14 months, and these Contis are holding up okay. They got me through this past winter where we had very heavy snowfall here in Northern Utah.
I'll be replacing them in the fall for Les Schwab's Back Country A/T2.
I haven't been on the forum for a while! Sorry for not replying to your post! Did you have your leather installed yet?
I really like the combo you came up with! I'm liking that Tuscany Brown you chose! Definitely more true brown than the stock lariat variety. You know, I had contemplated...
Thank you for posting pics of the Tremor seat options! I really like the solid gray color and the stitching! I also dig the "Tremor" on the upper part of the seat!
Yes, the factory heating setup was left in place for this; no special heating elements were needed for the leather install. I used the seat heaters all winter here in northern Utah and they worked excellent with the leather, no issues.
I haven't been on the forum for a while, so my apologies for my delay in responding.
Yes, the seat heating with this leather works excellent! If I understood correctly, the perforations are for seats with cooling options. Used them all winter in Northern Utah and they worked excellent, no...
I had my side curtain airbags recall taken care of last week along with an oil change and tire rotation. Ed Kenley Ford in Layton, Utah had the parts for the fix with no issues. I dropped it off in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon.
My next recall (when they have the parts...
The heated seat option works excellent! That was the first thing I tried after getting my truck back. Very happy about that as I live in Northern Utah and heated seats are nice to have!
They are extremely comfortable! My wife noticed the difference as well! She thinks they are more comfortable than the cloth ones...and she likes how it makes my truck smell!
I think the leather also facilitates the heated seat selection better than the cloth covers. Just my opinion of course!
They remove the existing fabric, and then place the Katzkin over the seats. Most installers will carefully remove the old covers if you want to keep them and reuse at some if I understand correctly, or they'll just discard them.
Hope this helps!
I do have seated seats, but they are not cooled.
Any Katzkan leather option will work with the heated seats, but if your seats are cooled, they have special selections for that. The ones for the cooled seats have tiny venting holes. They still look good though!
The two blue options that Katzkin recommends are either "Blue" or "Atlantic." My installer had Katzkin swatches of both, and honestly, they both look really good! I believe my choice was the Blue. You can't go wrong with either!
The accents were Lunar grey.
You're going to love it!
Well, I believe they have three leather/ material options, plus whatever the cost for the install is. I don't believe the cost changes for the specific layout you choose (e.g. wrap, accent, and things like that.
Since my seats are not cooled, I didn't have to choose the option of leather that...
I don't mind at all. I live in Northern Utah (Not sure if that makes a difference), I chose their standard leather option (forgot what they call it) and paid about $1,800. It's a little expensive, but I justified the cost by only having to pay MSRP for my Mav! I plan on keeping this for...
Thank you so much!
I ordered them like the 1st week in June, and it took about 2 months to get them in. I guess they're manufactured in California.
I've seen some YouTube videos where they have guys who travel around installing them. They literally have a rolling workshop. Hopefully you'll be...
