Um, of course they're going to markup any stock units (not retail!) that they get in, and Mavericks orders that the customer doesn't follow through with, but I think it's needless speculation to assume they'll markup retail orders. I think most of us have known they'd markup stock units and...
As I reread my post, I think it sounded a bit snarky. I didn't mean for it to come across that way. I do understand that there are some folks who've been waiting a long time, and have very legitimate concerns about this entire process, and when they will actually receive their Maverick.
Ford...
I ordered the XLT, Hybrid, Luxury package on 8/26. The only option my dealer had to remove was the mud flaps. He did this the day of my order. I really don't think I'm going to see this thing until spring or early summer, so I'm not removing anything else, unless my sales guy recommends it...
I ordered mine through Ed Kenley in Layton. They charged just MSRP with no other fees. I believe if you order through the dealer (retail otders)they charge just MSRP and destination fees, with no dealer markups. It's their regular stock vehicles that are getting additional dealer markups.
My...
Funny! I also dig the Ford emblem in the spray in bedliner from the plant! Since the spray in bedliner comes with the XLT LUXURY PACKAGE, I'm in no big hurry!
FWD, Because I wanted a Hybrid. I'll use this truck for my 80 mile daily commute (400 miles/week) and probably another 25-40 miles on my days off! To give you an idea: my 2016 Sonata has 147,000 miles on it!
I'm really hoping the 37-40 mpg is a reality!
I know I'm going to catch flack, but I swear, some people on this forum are not happy unless there's something new to worry about! Just take a deep breath already! The past two weeks people were having the vapors that from that released internal Ford memo that "no hybrids would be produced...
I know I won't see mine this year, but I'm optimistic I'll see it in the spring
I ordered an XLT, Hybrid on 8/26. I had anticipated a 6-8 month wait.
Keep us posted!
I'm very skeptical of the info your dealer is telling you. I've not heard 1.5 year hybrid wait from anyone. Tim Bartz from Long McArthur Ford never mentioned this in his podcasts, and he's very knowledgeable.
Sadly, some of the sales folks at Ford are clueless.
I want a Maverick, but I DO NOT NEED ONE! I'll wager this is the case with most of us. I'm not sure if or when I'll give up, but if that time comes, I'll just know.
Ford really does need to start communicating with their customers. Any time someone says "until further notice" I just get a...
I hear you, but this information is being put out by Ford...at least to their dealers.
I know this is a unique situation, but it would really be good if Ford would truly communicate with their customers, and let them know what's going on. If the hybrid delay is due to quality concerns, then...
Yeah, it really is a sad state of affairs that we have to accept these "new normals."
I can tell you this, if another lockdown is instituted, waiting for our Mavericks will be the least of our concerns. People really have no clue how bad things will get. And it won't just be waiting for our...
Sorry if I missed where this question was answered, but I'm still not clear at what point, and from whom we receive our vin number. Do we receive an email from Ford, or from the dealer?
For the folks here who know their vin number, how did you receive it?
