AGM battery doesn't fix the problem. AGM batteries are more durable, vibration resistant and don't lose electrolyte. They do not have a higher charge capacity or resistance to discharge. If there's a parasitic drain, it will kill an AGM battery just a quickly as a flooded wet cell battery.

Only flaw in the service writer not using the word FULL theory is the hybrid spec is 0W-20 which is only available as FULL synthetic. So they have put the wrong viscosity grade in to also put a blend in.
I know the OP says 'this thread is not about that', but I just replaced mine with a 'premium' activated charcoal filter that also weighed 3x as much as the OEM filter for $9 off Amazon. Just sayin.
Free oil changes for life are an easy way for the stealer to get your car up on the rack and upsell unnecessary service.
Since full synthetic is what is REQUIRED for the hybrid, there shouldn't be an upcharge.
