there is an indicator on the fob that flashes when the truck received the signal green - if the truck didnt start if flashes red. I didnt have the doors locked so it was red.
Why am I not surprised you knew the answer to that jsus ?? Thank You !!!! :) All I knew is that it works looking out my front window standing in my boxer shorts getting ready to leave the 30 or so feet to the truck - LOL
Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms
there are instructions here on this tow bar where it installs on the Maverick
It is a baseplate that mounts behind the bumper cover with attaching points extending out for the bar to connect to
Id say you have to be within visual distance. When my truck goes into deep sleep it disables the ford pass remote. Most of the time the pass app is great tho :)
I updated my original post -
The key with the plastic head would work as well.
If yours has a remote start it would be this key - 49.99- https://amzn.to/3wNgDVG 89.95 2 Pack - https://amzn.to/3jsaBq7 45.29 - https://amzn.to/3WUcmdl
ahh that was Fords Im pretty sure option trying to reduce chip usage. My Lariat suffers sometimes from the "deep sleep" issue but the fob remote start has always worked.
ahhhh got it. the procedures are the same for adding that fob, I havent 100% tested it with Forscan however with the frequency being different Id say the 23 models dont have the chips for the 2 way communication needed for the fob based remote start. How much extra was it - just curious.
Evidently yours didn't have the Lux Package ? Dang didnt even know they used these on the Lariat - Is yours a 22 or 23 ? The Fobs without remote start are a different frequency than the remote start ones. yours is this one - https://amzn.to/3kZfyr9
You can get them on Ebay as well but I prefer Amazon just for the fact if one of these Chinese wonders doesent work its so much easier to get your money back.
37.95 - https://amzn.to/3XaDs0h heres one for 38 !
Yes. the remote functions and start are programmed automatically. I have some advanced scanners / programmers but the software hasn't been updated for the Maverick yet. 😞
on the 16s useually you can use an onboard procedure - cycle the ignition 8 times so Id say yes. The Maverick - havent tried that but there is no onboard to program jus the remote. The blade can be changed - there is a small pin at the base.
There has been many questions on the keys for our beloved trucks and as a locksmith I can say if you lose all your keys you will more than likely have to tow it back to the dealer until our software is updated. HOWEVER I have confirmed on board programming works if you have the original two...
I live in Franklin and Im still pretty surprised when I see a Maverick. I remember back last year I think I remember the most orders were in Florida and California. With the amount of cash around here I do see a bunch of loaded Broncos :)
