I was in Great Lakes, Ill. for boot camp in 1983. We got a severe snow storm with temps below zero.
One of our recruits was from Miami and was excited to see snow for the first time. The company commander sent him out to shovel the "Grinder" (parking lot). It was hilarious.
Just got notified that my Maverick is on the lot and ready for pickup. I was able to purchase one a few months ago, so now I have a choice to make: Buy and flip of let it go. Shipping to Florida is going to cost me over $1,200. Fly and drive is not much cheaper, and adds miles to the odo...
I did a quick search of this thread with no useful results. So, has anyone had their truck shipped from Granger to home? I live in Florida and prefer to have it delivered here instead of driving it home. Looks like about 1,800 miles drive plus flight there and hotels and food going home.
I have a dilemma. I ordered a Lariat Lux AWD w 4K tow plus full size spare and 235/65/17 tires with this deal. I have received a vin and 8/15/22 build date. I also ordered a similar build locally which I have received already.
I don’t need the second truck now but would take it if I could get...
I traded a 2016 F150 with the 5.5' bed. I probably never used that for hauling stuff that I cannot fit in my Maverick (or with my small garden trailer). I sold my camper trailer a couple years ago so I don't need the F150's larger tow capabilities either. The 4K tow I have now is plenty.
Update: I took the Ford certificate into my selling dealership yesterday. This was 5 weeks after I bought the truck. The manager on the desk verified my purchase and entered the cert. info into Smartvincent. He showed me the page where it indicated only $500 for the Maverick. He filled out...
I checked for the military discount before my truck was delivered. I was told I did not qualify since I got out 1992. I did not check again when my truck was delivered 5/28/22. I purchased the truck 5/30/22. I checked this promotion just now and they gave me a $1,000 certificated. Too late...
OP. I see from your signature you have a Ford Transit HD. I assume that is your motorhome. Have you set up your Maverick for flat tow? If so, any feedback on the Mav as towed vehicle and on Transit performance with that load behind? What is the dry weight of your Maverick?
Thanks
Not to revive an older thread but I want to give a positive mention here for Autonation Ford in Jacksonville. I ordered my AWD Lariat on 10/30/21 and got it yesterday. Dealer honored the price on my order sheet w/o any issues. Gave me a very good trade in value for my F150 too.
Finally got mine yesterday. Ordered 10/31/21. 7 months for delivery.
First pic is alongside my trade, the F150 not the wife.
Very happy with AutoNation Ford in Jacksonville. Smoothest car-buying experience ever.
I got it 10:39 last night. No indication whether it is my "Scheduled" build ordered locally, or my confirmed order from Granger. Probably covers both.
Both 2.0 Lariat Lux 4K tows.

YOUR VEHICLE IS SCHEDULED FOR PRODUCTION
Dear Timothy,
We are excited to let you know your 2022 Maverick LARIAT has been scheduled for production. Your vehicle is scheduled to be built...
This is a good deal but it requires the order be placed on 12/27 or later, which is when the price increases come in for the XLT and Lariat, plus some options. When I factor in the Xplan pricing I will get with my current order the difference for me would not be worth having to travel from...
I understand the idea of wanting to do the first oil change early. I've done it myself on other new vehicles. I am pretty sure the oil itself is fine though. If the concern is the amount of metal particles circulating in the oil from the wear-in process, why not just change the filter early...
I had the 2007 Ridgeline. Had to sell it when the family outgrew it. The Ridgeline had a "locking" rear diff which was helpful on boat ramps and in sand. That truck was a pleasure to drive but got poor MPGs. I am waiting on a Lariat AWD 4K tow Maverick. I hope it compares well in handling...
