Ok this is the last I’m going to say on this thread. I bought my jeep in Pittsburgh in January while I was still living in Ohio, paid Ohio sales tax. Moved to Pittsburgh in March, did not pay sales tax again!
I’m not starting an argument, I live on Pittsburgh and brought 2 car’s here when I moved from Ohio. I did not pay sales tax again in pa. I DO KNOW FOR SURE.
You pay taxes in the state you live in when you buy the vehicle. When you move to another state you don’t pay sales tax again, you didn’t buy the car in the state you moved to, so they can’t charge you sales tax. When I moved to pa from Ohio I only paid transfer fees from one state to another.
