Great post, but very few people need a 3500 truck for towing unless you are towing something like a semi trailer. Even a ranger is good for 7500 lbs, and a Maverick will handle most family fishing and ski boats just fine with the 4000 package.
$48K for a Maverick? That is beyond crazy. No wonder people in California are crashing their cars all the time. I had a new car totaled back in 2004 and fought with the insurance company for a month to get MSRP.
This makes sense on a lot of levels. First the price of production has probably gone up more than 20% since the lightning was introduced. It was also less expensive than similar electric vehicles. You can get a lightning for less than a Tesla model 3 compact car.
Problem is the order sheet even though it has the MSRP price on it is not a contract and is not an agreement of the selling price. The sales price or sales contract is a separate document. I had only a verbal agreement but I reiterated numerous times what I expected to pay. Fortunately my dealer...
Hybrid only help in city driving. On the highway wind and speed make a significant difference. Headwind can easily cost 5 mpg much more if you're bucking 40 mph like l did in south Dakota recently. Slow down to 65 or 70, it makes a lot less difference than people think.
You are incorrect, a dealer is not just. an intermediary for the delivery of a vehicle. The dealer owns the vehicle and they set the price. You are purchasing from the dealer not Ford. That said you got screwed because they reneged on your agreement. Contact the GM and owner, tell them you are...
lf it makes you feel any better the Maverick hybrid is like the number one marked up vehicle right now and the average markup is 20K. That said you were lied to.
Agree with you on Nitrogen, however doc fees is legit and in most areas you won't find a dealer not charging it. Bottom line dealers have six buyers for every vehicle right now and this op got a fair price.
Not a dumb question at all, and the answer is you don't need one. Vehicles go through a lot of testing and are engineered the way they are for a reason. If you want to tweak things fine, but adding kits like this isn't likely to improve anything and usually adversely affects both handling and...
I notice the steering wheel cruse control switches exist on the XL, but instead of cruise it controls audio and volume. I'm wondering if these switches could be wired into the aftermarket Rostra control instead of using the cheezie stalk provided with the kit? Seems like it could work, and I...
