Because the particular hardwire kit has 3 wires: ground, battery, and accessory. That is common. As for the roof console, I am not sure what you are talking about or if your question was directed at me.

I have a 2025 and the slots labeled "Not used (spare)" in the manual actually have power. Some are on battery while others are on accessory power. I just hardwired a dash cam using slots 3 and 20.
