  1. Comma.ai 3x now officially supports the Maverick (Hybrid and Ecoboost) with 360 Assist

I'm not sure about tinting. It's meant to be a strong adhesive that can support the weight even after being in the sun a long time. As for the screen, I don't really notice it (like a rear view mirror - I don't notice it unless I look for it but a new driver would). As for mounting, it needs...
  2. Comma 3x OpenPilot installed

It's great. You'll love it. I have 36k miles on it and it hasn't even been installed for 10 months.
  3. Comma.ai 3x now officially supports the Maverick (Hybrid and Ecoboost) with 360 Assist

There you go. Just don't have the music up so loud you don't hear it and it disengages entirely for you ;-)
  4. Comma.ai 3x now officially supports the Maverick (Hybrid and Ecoboost) with 360 Assist

The regular signal when you turn cruise on and off, I'm no longer sure. It's been six months since I had the stock Ford cruise running (without Comma plugged in). What I was referring to is the Comma yelling at you "Pay attention you dumb@$$ before you crash" sound, which is definitely all...
  5. Comma.ai 3x now officially supports the Maverick (Hybrid and Ecoboost) with 360 Assist

Told you, it's great. Do figure out BluePilot. There's a noticeable difference in smoothness when stopping and around other cars. For others, not sure if you can select the 8 degree mounts based on vehicle, when I bought in June it was just an add on. But they are necessary. Congrats and...
  6. Comma.ai 3x now officially supports the Maverick (Hybrid and Ecoboost) with 360 Assist

Yes, exactly center (horizontally) and then I tried to align it vertically so that it would be just under the rear view in my line of sight. Less obtrusive than some video displays (Mav's is down lower some are higher and more obstructive IMO. Also, I let the mount adhesive cure for the...
  7. Comma.ai 3x now officially supports the Maverick (Hybrid and Ecoboost) with 360 Assist

I have 20,000 miles in 7 months with Comma 3x. If you're considering it, do yourself a favor and just get it. Very few downsides. Also, once you get it, get on Comma Ai Discord, find the BluePilot fork, and run that.
  8. Comma.ai 3x now officially supports the Maverick (Hybrid and Ecoboost) with 360 Assist

Yes, I don't think it will work without that, but I'm not entirely sure. There is a Comma Ai Discord. People there have more expertise and can probably answer with certainty, but it's using the adaptive cruise all the time so I think it must have that and LKA.
  9. Comma.ai 3x now officially supports the Maverick (Hybrid and Ecoboost) with 360 Assist

If you didn't special order that 8 degree add-on part from Comma Ai, you don't have it.
  10. Comma.ai 3x now officially supports the Maverick (Hybrid and Ecoboost) with 360 Assist

I bought my Maverick in April. I put ~1,000 miles on it through June. Got the comma then. I now have over 19,000 miles on my Maverick with Comma. Took several long trips. It's been fantastic. You still have to pay attention, but it does make driving feel chill. My only regret is not getting a...
  11. Comma.ai 3x now officially supports the Maverick (Hybrid and Ecoboost) with 360 Assist

As an update, I got my Comma 3x working easily. Highly recommend. Easy to install (just have a plastic pry tool on hand for the camera cover above the rear view mirror. Tried the stock OpenPilot software, then SunnyPilot, and finally BluePilot today. Highly recommend BluePilot (designed...
  12. Comma.ai 3x now officially supports the Maverick (Hybrid and Ecoboost) with 360 Assist

I just received my Comma Ai yesterday. Installed everything today (save the unit...waiting for the 8 degree mount to cure). It was easier than expected. However, I don't know what software to run. Would anyone share what software you are running and how I can find/install that? That's where...
  13. Comma.ai 3x now officially supports the Maverick (Hybrid and Ecoboost) with 360 Assist

I'm thinking of getting one. How easy would it be to install today? I'm not auto-savvy but not inept either. I just haven't found good instructions like I did for my last car (I still didn't buy it for that one).
