When I got my Mav mid March, very few hard trifold covers were available. I did get one, ordered from Weather Tech. It wasn't cheap, $1000+ and they wanted a lot for shipping. I asked if they could help with that, and they reduced it to $100. I do like the cover so far, looks good, low...
 Not sure how many Mavericks are in the Tucson area, but any interest in a meetup or just chat? I Got my Mav March 2022:
Hybrid, Area 51, lux package, rear sliding window, trailer hitch. I've added a bunch of stuff to it. Really like it. Averaging over 45 MPG.
Let's swap stories 🚘...
I finally really punched it on the highway to pass somebody at about 50 MPH. It took ok from there quite well I thought. I detected no instability either. I don't drive over 80 and rarely on our 75 MPH highways for safety. Too many crazies around, you don't know what might happen.
Just changed hybrid oil and filter at 3,099 miles. Used Castrol Edge Extended Performance synthetic 0W-20 (5.7 qts.) and Ford filter FL10-910S.
Won't post pictures are several here already. Here's my report. Removed the plastic under shield attached with 15 Torx 27 screws into metal clips...
Well. To answer my own question. The top of the hash grid is full, top hole is maximum. And this is also in manual: Maximum engine wear on new engine is achieved at 3000 miles. That is, the break in point. Consumer Reports changes oil at 3000 miles for their road tests.
Been a long time since I had a Ford. On the hybrid oil dip stick, there is the cross hair hash marks, and lower and upper small holes. So is full at top of cross hairs or to the top hole on dipstick? I'll be doing an oil change myself at 3k so just checking. Thanks.
Got my Mav about 3 weeks ago, hybrid, lux package, Compass 360, Area 51. I like it a lot! And now, on a highway trip, CRACK. 16" windshield crack, passenger side.
So, called car insurance, replacement scheduled in about a week. Here's my question: anybody else had to have this done? The...
MYSTERY SOLVED! About my non-working CarPlay usb, usb-c ports: Dealer Service checked, and-the factory did'nt install the wiring harness to these ports! So, they ordered the harness to put in. Somebody didn't use the checklist...
Picked up my Mav XLT, Area 51, Lux package, 360, rear window on Saturday. I like it!
BUT! Apple CarPay? Not even to be seen after plugging in iPhone...
So, 2 days later, back to Ford dealer. And here's what they found:
the wiring harness connecting to the USB and USB-C dash ports was MISSING...
Apple CarPlay won't come on. Plugging in, using USB cable. But there is no power to the dash usb port, nor to the usb-c port either. iPhone and CarPlay works just fine in my other car. Any thoughts? Thanks.
My old girlfriend's dad took his new red '59 Buick station wagon out on the road, and opened it up to 120 mph. To "break it in" he said. Imagine seeing that aircraft carrier plowing the road... But that was then.
