In FAQs they tell you to "confirm with your dealer" and what do you do when the dealer won't respond? Be nice to transfer orders to a new dealer without consequences. Order portability would make for better dealer customer service.
So if rolled over the best you can hope for is getting in line 2 weeks before anyone who orders for the first time? Wait in line for a year for a chance to wait in line. Perfect.
Another email, if real, that some will get and others won't adding to the frustration and doubt about whether the order was correctly placed or not. Send a fricking letter if your email system isn't dependable. The postal service could use the money.
Being a 23 rollover wouldn't bother me if I had received just one contact from the dealership...on anything! How about, "There is a possibility that your order may be a MY23 rollover. If needed, we will contact you to facilitate that process in August. Thanks for your patience." I'll probably...
Be nice if people who have waited over a year for their trucks got something other than frustration. How about a dollar a day? Some good will gesture from Ford other than silence?
Wonder if the Ranchero will compete with the Maverick for chips when it goes into production for foreign markets. One more thing to slow down scheduling and production for impending rollovers. Maybe I'll learn some Portuguese and order one. Shipping is probably less than a dealer's mark-up.
Once again Tim gives me info that my silent dealership doesn't. Be nice if we could move rollovers to a different dealership and not lose our original order dates.
Within 60 miles of me one dealer does market adjustments adding 20k above MSRP, one requires $1000 nonrefundable deposit, one gets less than one allocation per month. A large straight dealing dealership like Long MacArthur is my choice for a 23 order despite me being in WI. Tim does a great PR job!
I foolishly ordered accessories that are now getting pretty bitchy waiting for their truck to be scheduled. The splash guards really have an attitude being a constraint. Steering clear of the garage until they cool down.
