  2. New XLT Maverick w 2 liter eco boost, slight hesitation sometimes

I can't seem to get an answer on this, I have the 2024 2 liter Eco boost, AWD XLT and it does NOT have the sport mode, before you can say enable it, I will not mess with the factory settings to do so, for all you know if something goes wrong the dealership might be able to find that out and...
  3. Mobile 1 synthetic engine oil for 2.0 EcoBoost?

I talked to my oil change people at Tillmans best place ever to change oil and Ford service they said just keep the receipts NO way am I doing 7500 miles between changes I trust Mobile 1 more than I would Ford they probably just buy bulk oil who knows the real quality. 5. New XLT Maverick w 2 liter eco boost, slight hesitation sometimes

Well the tank was close to empty....but there was almost an immediate difference.. who knows . I do know you cannot expect ultra power without the turbo having to spool up...and contrary to any post it is noticeable especially on low octane gas.... maybe after she gets a few more miles or a...
  6. New XLT Maverick w 2 liter eco boost, slight hesitation sometimes

I've been reading about the mod to enable sport and eco mode but not willing to risk voiding warranty despite a lot of posts saying it won't void warranty, I would not bet on it though. I cannot risk it on my 37000 dollar truck there might be a valid reason for the FX not having those modes...
  7. New XLT Maverick w 2 liter eco boost, slight hesitation sometimes

Well maybe in your case but within 5 miles of driving with 93 octane most of my issues are gone or minimized. I have the FX Maverick w all wheel drive and eco boost 2 liter there is no sports mode. Now when i hit the gas there is almost no sluggishness. My take is the eco boost only runs at 87...
  8. New XLT Maverick w 2 liter eco boost, slight hesitation sometimes

been reading articles and seems that the eco 2. liter does just not like low octane less than 91 the only reason it runs 87 at all is not to scare away people who are too cheap to buy 91 or higher....
  9. New XLT Maverick w 2 liter eco boost, slight hesitation sometimes

I'm not here to argue with anyone I've only had this truck for 6 days the Manual is not exactly clear on a lot of things. I don't want to damage it or void warranty, I'm 73 this is the most expensive vehicle I have ever owned it replaces a 100000 mile 2014 2.7 Tacoma that was still running...

  13. New XLT Maverick w 2 liter eco boost, slight hesitation sometimes

I think my old 2014 Tacoma w 159 hp 2.7 four would take this on initial take off.. It just does not feel snappy... highway plenty of power but that lag on takeoff... maybe after break in it will get better... as soon as the Ford supplied gas is gone will put in some 91 octane, don't see any...
  14. New XLT Maverick w 2 liter eco boost, slight hesitation sometimes

It's not that it lacks power but sort of hesitates on acceleration mostly when taking off on turns running 87 octane, I think its the 87 octane. Brand new only 360 miles on it would 91 or higher octane fix this?
