Yes, with the vibrating tool it was relatively trivial, I just kept nibbling until the bracket would fit, I had to insert the bracket sideways to get past the grill, but there is some flex in the plastic grill. Bracket went in solidly with out issues. Had to flex the grill to get the bottom...

How did you get it working? I'm stuck in exactly this spot. I quadruple checked everything and it all is correct EXCEPT vehicle type. I tried Ranger and Bronco and I can get the Calibration to 100% but it doesn't write. Left battery disconnected over night, no change. Changed back to not defined...
