Been a brutal winter here in NL, seems like spring has sprung , got the MAV in for the annual Krown rust protection and took off winter tires. Gave it a bit a bit of love today!
Hi All , getting a vibration in the Mav some times , more noticeable when in sport or tow/haul modes not sure if it is the cv joint axles or some thing else. Any input would appreciated before i bring it to the dealer, only 27k on truck . Thanks Russ!
Recently installed the Lincoln cover on the Mav , picked up a few different emblems on Temu to replace the Lincoln one , went with the turbo chrome with black lettering here are a few pics. Sorry the engine bay needs a detail.
I had the recall done yesterday for the backup camera , the image is definitely clearer . Also had bcm and pcm update done as well , noticed the alert sounds are different than before. Every is working as it should , i had this done at Avalon Ford here in NL Canada along a service and...
Spring cleanup time, detailed the exterior and applied another coat of Cerakote trim restorer Mav is holding up well after three years. Here's a few pics!
Picked up a bed cubby for the left side of my Maverick XLT, got it off Temu with free shipping under 50 bucks . The part number matches , let you know about quality and fit when i receive and install it.
Finally got the call from my dealer to get the airbag recall done, confident that the dealership will do a good job .I have had excellent service over the years from Avalon Ford here in NL. I will update when it's completed.
The black trim on the Maverick seems to be weathered and faded, rough winter here in NL . I used Cerakote ceramic trim restorer results are excellent , have a few pics. I also used the rapid ceramic paint sealant excellent product as well.
Just a update on the frozen fuel door , sprayed some isopropyl alcohol on the mech. have had no issues since, even with the minus 30C windchill we had here last week.
Well this morning wet to gas fuel door would not pop open, was cold here last night tried just about everything ,managed to pop off the painted cover with pry tool . Finally got it open and lubed the mech put the cover back on working normally now . Has anyone had a issue like this?
Just A update, installed new taillights retainers in the Maverick, this seems to have fixed the issue, nice tight fit snapped into place, probably poorly manufactured retainers is the issue. Hopefully the new Ones don' t have the same issue.
Had issue with the Maverick saying it was going into deep sleep to conserve battery power, deleted ford pass and then reloaded , haven't had the issue since . The battery voltage is fine everything works including auto start/stop, it's been over three weeks since this has happened before it was...
The dash noise in the Maverick has been solved , removed the a pillar on the rt side to install dash cam wiring, after reinstall rattling noise was gone , hopefully this is a permanent fix.
Update to the dash noise in the Maverick, a little annoying but as the dash contracts with the heat and cold it is slowly becoming less noticeable, probably disappear at some point.
My Maverick has the same dash noise as reported by a lot of owners, The noise seems to disappear as the temps rise outside, plastic probably expanding.
