This is just Ford corporate passing the buck off to try and take heat off their mistakes. The dealers can only give you info that they are given from Ford. So if Ford isn't giving out anything, the dealer is just left scrambling as much as all of us.
It's not the actual wait that has been annoying. It's been the lack of communication with the customer that's been driving me up a wall. I expect a little more than radio silence on something that I had to put down 1000 dollars to get moving. And then the first communication I get shouldn't be...
That may be true. I was told this in the context of price protection in the case of being bumped a model year. And I was actively discouraged from changing my order because if I leave it alone they will honor my original price
As I understood it from my dealer, I had price protection *on the vehicle I ordered*. If I were to change anything on the order, it would no longer be the same vehicle I had price protection on.
So in short, yes. You screwed yourself by changing your order and they re assesed the price based...
I got the same assurance from my dealer. There was a caveat though that I could not change anything on my order. No taking off constraint items, changing the color or anything. Because that would change the order and basically null the contract and price assurance with the dealer (because it...
They ran out of ink to make the "L" on the tag for the sizing. It's been listed as a constraint item and all production of shirts has been halted for 3 weeks.
When I asked if I had price protection on my order, my dealer told me I did *as long as my order remained the same*. If I were to go in and change the order, then a new price point would have to be reached on it, as it's not the same vehicle.
My concern is an across the board price increase on all trim levels. I have waited this long because it is still a better deal. But if the price goes up to what they were selling, say, a ranger or Tacoma for a year ago at this time, I'm gonna be pretty upset
So after 8 months of radio silence, I am bracing myself for the bump to 2023. Are there any sorts of price protections for being bumped model years if I already have the deposit down?
I'm still waiting on my order placed in Harrisonburg to be built. What were your build specs if you don't mind me asking. Trying to get an idea on a time frame for my hybrid
If the price stays as low as it is for the MY22, then maybe.
But if it just goes up like 6-7k, I could have just gotten a ranger or Tacoma already at that price.
The big draw to this truck was that I could get a lariat for 30k. If that price ends up going up because they couldn't fulfill the...
Hybrid lariat lux CP360
Ordered 11/6
No email from ford about my build being constrained and checked with ford chat yesterday and I am not scheduled.
I fully expect to be bumped to 2023 at this point
If the santa cruz were 10k less and came in a hybrid, I would have one already.
I like the maverick a lot, and I am still getting it, but the allocation system and being in the dark on my order is seriously making me consider if I would ever buy from them again
No ordered in November option.
Ordered my hybrid lariat last weekend
Either the dealer took an order they weren't supposed to or they haven't shut down orders yet
