Well, The version2 model of this is preset from factory. There is no adjusting the spring tension. Any adjusting will void warranty. The cover is tight as drum. See my update (post #10)
Just a little update here. I went to the hardware store and bought (2) 3/4 condenser pipe foam covers. They are pre-split and were 5'0 long. I cut them down to the fill length of the tonneau bar supports. I just slipped them over the tubes and nothing else needed. This made a huge difference in...
yes, when I installed it I did read the instructions, mine is tight as a drum. It also is sealed correctly. It's just the way the Maverick is moving the air over the cover. I would not recommend the soft cover to people shopping for a tonneau cover on the Maverick.
Yep, I am thinking this is the culprit:
Airflow Physics: Air flowing over the cabin creates a low-pressure zone that can lift the cover.
I had the same brand for years on my 1998 F150 and it never flapped or made noise. So, maybe I need an air spoiler. Thanks for the input!
I've had this now since October and really like the fit and looks. It also has held out rain good. Except with the power car wash does get a small amount of water in, but nothing to worry about. My main issue is driving at highway speeds and especially with a 20-25mph wind this cover will flop...
I recommend WeatherTech. Fits like a glove and really keeps stuff from sliding around. Made is USA as well. Also use their floor mats as well. Not cheap, but very nice.

I just installed a Viofo A119M Pro bundle and it was very easy to install. I hardwired mine to the fuse panel and after watching several videos and reading info found on this forum. I am very happy with the video quality and the looks of it mounted. I did not elect to use the static film. I also...
I highly recommend one because some people don't know how to open a tailgate and just let them drop. I always fear other people opening my tailgate, so I spent the $20 and put one on. It was very easy and now my truck is idiot proof.

Well, 28yrs in Iowa winters, it was time. The truck only had 81k on it as I drive very little as my shop is in my backyard. I have a 2013 Edge with the EcoBoost 2.0 and really have had zero issues, why I did not consider the hybrid.
