Velocity Blue XLT walkaround and sit-in from Inland Empire CA sighting

they’re both great colors. I second guess my choice of Area 51 as well but then I look at it again and fall in love. Area 51 will probably be the most popular color.

    Age of targeted Maverick Buyer

Same here in Cali. Only way to get under 4 bucks a gallon in Los Angeles is to get gas at a Costco.

    Installing Rear Window after sale?

If you want the opening larger then you would have to cut into the rear windshield, which is one piece. The reason why it's so small is because of that and the interior curves downward. Actual view from the inside is much more narrow than the outside leads it to be.

    AREA 51 Maverick Club

    Maverick 2" lift kits available

This makes me wish I lived near your dealership. Dunno if any of the ones in Los Angeles will offer something like this.

    Maverick 2" lift kits available

Don't tempt me :p I have a lifted 2017 Impreza that just barely gets the same height as a Crosstrek. I did it cuz I could lol. I heard something about the suspensions for the 2.0 and the hybrid being different though. This kit is probably made for the Eco.

Is the Maverick cab going to be big enough?

@ReadyMav From your original post it seems you have one child, right? When I looked at the truck in person at and event one of the things I thought about was rear leg room. We had a guy who was 6' 3" move his seat back and recline it to see how comfortable the fellows in the back would feel. He...

How complicated is to install a hard tri fold bedcover?

Unless you really want a tri fold from Ford, you could just get a Bakflip for over 150 bucks less and install it yourself. They're a very reputable brand.

How complicated is to install a hard tri fold bedcover?

Looks like Bakflip has a section for the Maverick already. https://bakindustries.com/products/2022/ford/maverick Here's the product page for the MX4 for the Mav. It includes an instructional video and pdf manual. Doesn't look hard. https://bakindustries.com/bakflip-mx4/2022/ford/maverick

📬 9/16 Scheduling Email Received Group!

Didn't see many lux hybrids in the thread. Mostly lux ecoboost. That's still a good sign that they're able to build the lux though!

🎬 Test drive review video! Maverick Hybrid and Ecoboost - Handling, Acceleration, Suspension, Brakes, Interior

That explains why he doesn't have any negative things to say. I thought it was because he's a stereotypical Canadian and super polite. ;)

My hybrid delayed a week from 10/11 to 10/18

Every time I see these posts I wonder if people just put them up to show off that they got their hybrid build date. :(

🎬 Test drive review video! Maverick Hybrid and Ecoboost - Handling, Acceleration, Suspension, Brakes, Interior

It's the *only* drive video I've seen thus far cuz they broke embargo :p It's awesome to see it driven, but it sure is a lot of gushing positivity that screams "youtube influencer" rather than an honest review. There's got to be *some* negatives with the truck. Maybe that's why Ford hasn't...

Peragon Tonneau covers - company is "looking into it" for Maverick

I just thought of this. Use the flex bed to put a 2x4 in the area just before where the Peragon folds in. Viola. Keeps items from getting in the way of it opening up. Granted, I don't know if that would actually work since I don't know exact measurements and what slots would work best...

Peragon Tonneau covers - company is "looking into it" for Maverick

I emailed them a month ago asking. Got the same response as the original poster. They have covers for the Ford lineup so it should be a no brainer for them to manufacture one for a truck this hot. Every time someone talks about adding/removing a stock tonneau cover I recommend waiting and...

Examples of maximum trailers a non-tow package Maverick can safely tow

Color me interested. I don't think I'll be spending the dough for a trailer any time soon, but I have been researching what's out there in case the wife wants to camp more.

    So Cal discounts?

Dude! I ordered from Sunrise Ford as well. Saul Lopez, our rep, is a very nice guy. X-Plan is a special discount given usually if you work for Ford or are related to them somehow. There's ways to get an X-Plan without it though. You can hold Ford stock for 6 months. Certain organizations and...

    Tailgate lettering on ALTO BLUE

I'm back and forth on whether I'd want to add lettering since I like the subdued look of the debossed letters. However, when I see a Taco with vinyl lettering on a deboss I also think it looks good. I'm getting an Area51 Mav, so different boat. For Alto I'm not sure what would work best...

    Maverick off-roading? capability?

I think everyone here has a different definition of off roading. If it's soft roading or overlanding, you can get to a lot of places even on the FWD. Some all terrains and traction pads for some slippier areas. Rock crawling or anything other than dirt paths though you're better off with...
