I wish I had looked before mounting them, but I'm not sure. Sorry!
Five hundred bucks is a steal! Good for you!
Good point--I think there were two tire options with the Badlands, but not sure. I'll probably switch to your size when these wear out.
Good idea!
Iām planning to use these Gorilla lug nutsātheyāve come up in other threads as seating well on Maverick & Bronco Sport wheels. I eyeballed it & it looks perfect. Weāll see what the tire shop says.
Yeah, I like the more utilitarian look. Fits the XLās personality. If you could get the stock steelies in dark grey or black, Iād be perfectly happy with them. Itās not worth the hassle for me to paint them or have them powder coated, though.
Iād like to upgrade my XL to this particular style of Bronco Sport wheel. Thereās a set with tires on FB Marketplace for $675. I think theyāre actually alloys with an old-school steelie look. Can anyone share their experience? Reasonable price? Pics? Tips on lug nuts? Reading some of the other...
Just looks. You really have to go up to 245 and above to get any more significant ground clearance or contact patch. I think the 235 looks slightly better on the truck.
-Iād love to have 245/65ās, but Iām not willing to sacrifice mileage.
I love them! The tires feel great, look great, are way quieter than any other AT's I've ever had, and have reduced my mileage by less than 1 mpg. Here's the data:
I've only filled the truck up twice since buying it on 9/29.
-The first time was entirely on stock 225/65 Dunlops. I went 551 miles...
@Oceanminded My only suggestion is check the velcro strip that rides in that long slot. Roll the cover all the way open, then slide the velcro strip back towards the cab so that thereās a half in gap at the tailgate end. Then re-roll it closed and retry to latch it. When I first installed mine...
YepāIām impressed. Theyāre quicker to shift than I am. The only times Iāve taken over was when I could see headlights coming at the top of a hill.
