  1. 2024 EB brake failure

I just mentioned the other thread as it sounded some what similar . I hope I didn't start a mess like that thread. sorry if I did. Glad dealer is taking this seriously.
  2. 2024 EB brake failure

There was a thread a while ago with a guy who said he lost brake pedal and hit small business after it jumped a curve. The thread got nasty and I don't think we ever did find out what happened. Not sure if it was an Eco or hybrid version mav. This occurrence sounds a little similar. Scary...

Elevate rails. Made upright and cross bars myself. Yakima roof rack. Tri fold hard cover 2023 xlt hybrid.
  4. Am i the only one on here that doesn’t like auto hold feature

Hate it Never use it. Problem solved
  5. OEM tires didn't last

4/32 inch on all 4 left. Tire wore even and I rotated at 5K. Yet total mileage on Mav is 17435 BUT snows on two winters so maybe OEM tires have 10 K on them.
  6. OEM tires didn't last

Well after reading through this thread I am the one who started it. It seems like mine are wearing out faster than most. I know many will think I drive fast. I just don't. My 2020 Ecosport I had before the Mav factory tires had about 28 K with about the same tire depth as my Mav tires have now...
  7. OEM tires didn't last

Okay snapped a few pictures. Using tire gauge in 32 of an inch I have 4/32 left at best .There wear bars are real close too. Keep in mind its only a total on truck of 17345 total miles and I had snows on it from November 15th till March 12th both two winters So 8 month of snows out of a total...
  8. OEM tires didn't last

Oh I agree BUT this is the WORST I have ever encountered. Maybe by end of summer 15 K miles on them and they wil be bald.
  9. OEM tires didn't last

I have a 2023 XLT hybrid delivered August 2023. with the CONTINENTAL PROCONTACT TX 225-65-17/ I have just over 17 K miles. I also have another set of wheels with blizzak snows. So for two winters used those. Yet my tires MIGHT make it to end of this summer. So maybe 11 K miles on the oem...
  10. Under The Hood: All-New 2025 Maverick EcoBoost Engine

I think the adding of port injection along with direct which it had is the big news. No more oil catch cans needed. If I had a old 2.0 it would make me seriously think of upgrading to new 2.0. Good news for new turbo owners.
  11. Got rid of auto stop-start for 17 bucks

I realize that I was commenting on another bringing up hybrids which stop the gas engine all the time . I had the auto stop start on my previous car. I hated it. Plus my other post about Jeep that had his stop doing it and was told time to change starter.
  12. Got rid of auto stop-start for 17 bucks

I hope your NOT complaining about hybrid stop and starting. I assume you referring to regular gas car right? Hybrid uses electric AC compressor so has Zero effect on AC and shutting off engine doesn't hurt a thing on hybrid. It does it often even when i cruise at 30 mph down the road engine...
  13. Got rid of auto stop-start for 17 bucks

A friend of mine who owns a 2020 Jeep SUV not sure which version the BIG one which has the stop start .BUT no longer doing it. He was concerned why it no longer did the start stop. So he took it in and they told him after it does it so many times. It says REPLACE starter which was a LOT of...
  14. 2.5L Hybrid - Change to 5W-30 oil

Another video on oil thickness, interesting information I will stay with OEM recommended viscosity
  15. SSM 53801: 2022-2025 Maverick Hybrid 12V Battery Drain Issue Update Fix Released!

My exact fear the dealers will just say NO You have no problem. I myself just keep charging the battery up mostly in the winter time. So on original battery from August 2023. I have no record of replaced dead batteries like some of you . I just didn't let it happen. So it sounds like it...
  16. SSM 53801: 2022-2025 Maverick Hybrid 12V Battery Drain Issue Update Fix Released!

Interesting. I have the battery going dead mostly in the winter. I charge it monthly so it doesn't go dead but do lose dome lights and battery warning oh phone ap. . . I always leave the HVAC on during winter. BUT in summer rarely use AC so the HVAC is almost always turned off summer time and...
  17. SSM 53801: 2022-2025 Maverick Hybrid 12V Battery Drain Issue Update Fix Released!

Yea I guess what I will do is copy and paste this SSM to dealer to see if they are willing to do it? Not sure if they have to or not? I am still under 3-36 warranty period. But if not a recall do they HAVE to do it? I have no clue on how ford dealers work in things like this,
  18. Another PTU/RDU Oil PSA

I question if a tech at a dealer would KNOW if if anything was under filled. Why I say this. As a former one we didn't drain into like a catch can that you could later measure to see how MUCH fluid came out. Why would we ever bother. One of these is what we had . so no idea if anything was...
  19. SSM 53801: 2022-2025 Maverick Hybrid 12V Battery Drain Issue Update Fix Released!

So after reading through all posts. it seems this will NOT be a recall as far as we know as of now. I had mobile tech out just two days ago doing recall for back up camera and wiper motor check. I mentioned about 12 volt battery issue he new nothing about it. I had my 12 volt battery charger...
  20. Auto Stop/Start may be going away (per EPA)

I bet they could. BUT that would take effort by the manufacturers. So I doubt it. Aftermarket does sell a plug in device on obd port for about 100 bucks. On my old car a Ecosport I just got used to hitting the button. BUT on some cars you have to dive into a menu to turn it off. If I had that...
