  2. So this just happened

    TOTALED!!! Sorry for your loss.
  3. New Remote software updates

This was this mornings email. Again, I have a MY24 XL Hybrid.
  4. New Remote software updates

I received the initial email 3 days ago and a followup email early this morning. OTA updates are a NO GO for me. This was for my MY24 XL Hybrid and I am in Northern Ohio. Not sure if this is a regional offering.
  5. CV Axle change Damage by dealer.

I personally never like to use a pickle fork when reusing the balljoint. Pickle forks tend to destroy the rubber boot which is a quick death to the balljoint.
  6. CV Axle change Damage by dealer.

I agree, shoddy work by a so called mechanic that does not care. Warranty or not, I prefer to do my own work also. That is with consideration of the total cost. I plan on upgrading my 2024 CV axles on my own dime but if it was the engine or trans it would be on Ford's dime. I upgraded to an AGM...
  7. What have you towed with your hybrid?

Trailer and SXS weighs 1900+#, so right close to the 2k limit. Towed fine even in bad weather but does prefer 55 a lot more than 75 MPH. Greatly reduces MPG but still much better than a full size truck could attain. Quite impressed with this MY24 but would appreciate the MY25 Hybrid AWD with 4k...
  8. What have you fit in your Maverick?

Putting the FLEX in Flex bed for sure. Not sure it will flex back as easy though. Everything has it's limit, it just takes someone willing to test it to find out what it is. Thanks for the sacrifice.
  9. Pushed the towing limits

The Jeep Comanche was a hybrid of a uni-body to bed on semi-frame. The frame under the bed blended into the uni-body cab floor.
  10. The 12 volt battery saga continues (Deep Sleep)

Question on the drain tube, is it really needed? Are the maintenance-free AGM batteries sealed? I don't like that they are in the interior and want to be sure it is needed or not.
  11. The 12 volt battery saga continues (Deep Sleep)

That is because the dealer replace the orginal battery with the same under capacity flooded lead acid battery. Replace it with a cheap Amazon AGM battery to solve the issue. Mine has been good since replacing the OEM with this battery. Well worth the 125.00 not to have to worry about it.
  12. SLATE Truck Debut! Convertible From Pickup to SUV. Priced Under $20K With Federal Incentive

Add a diesel generator as a range extender and I would be interested.
  13. Best Maverick Tricks, Tips, and Hacks - Add Yours!

Had to read this post twice to be sure what you were talking about.
  14. 2025 maverick parking brake "on", but i didn't set it

9 of those 10 remaining threads would be questions starting with "will this void my warranty?".
  15. Is my battery adequate?

Even though it is not used for starting it is still not adequate. Switch to an AGM to avoid the inevitable deep sleep issues. Big upgrade from the OEM flooded battery and fits perfectly.
  16. Backup Camera Recall Done. Improvements Noticed!

Here is a picture of my frozen backup camera not moving while I was driving forward. I am scheduled for reprogramming next week and hope it does resolve this.
  17. 25% tariffs on imported vehicles

Same here 20K, 5 passenger, and 30+ MPG gathered my initial interest. 40+ with the Hybrid and was a big incentive to take a gamble on a new Ford mini truck. I bought a MY22 XL Eco and traded it for a MY24 XL Hybrid. I was and have been happy with both.
  18. 25% tariffs on imported vehicles

Dreamers? Do you mean Americans? "Dreamers" said the Canadian. Henry Ford did have a dream that really started something big, we just have to keep it profitable while pulling the work back from Mexico and Canada. Production was outsourced to take advantage of the less fortunate and increase...
  19. 25% tariffs on imported vehicles

Yes, it is a poor outlook for the manufactures if they are not smart enough to adjust with the current conditions. Just sit back and do nothing and see what happens or make changes as needed to remain profitable. That is what is known as good management.
